    Abstract: A safeguard system for a vehicle is provided which works as an unintended operation control system. The safeguard system works to calculate an accelerator-manipulated variable representing a degree to which an accelerator of the vehicle is manipulated. When it is found that the accelerator-manipulated variable has dropped at a given rate and then risen within a preselected rise time period, the safeguard system determines that such an operation is an unintended action and controls an operation of the vehicle such as acceleration or speed of the vehicle to minimize the probability of encountering a hazard to the vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicle dynamic control apparatus is designed to control a plurality of controlled objects according to a request value of a first parameter from an application associated with motion of a vehicle in a same direction to fulfill the request value of the first parameter. An availability obtainer obtains an availability corresponding to a controllable range of a second parameter of each of the plurality of controlled objects, the second parameter being associated with motion of the vehicle in the same direction.     Abstract: A running control apparatus calculates a target driving or braking torque in a calculating block to control the vehicle driven or braked by this torque at a target speed against a running resistance changed with running circumstances of the vehicle. In a control block, when a driver-required braking torque based on the braking operation of the driver is smaller than the target braking torque, the running control for the vehicle is performed to brake the vehicle by the target braking torque. When the driver-required braking torque becomes higher than the target braking torque, the running control is stopped, and the driver manually brakes the vehicle by the driver-required braking torque. When the driver-required braking torque is decreased to be lower than the target braking torque or a predetermined braking torque corresponding to the release of the braking operation, the running control is restarted.
