Abstract:
A cable barrier delineator for selective attachment on roadway barrier cable systems that utilize steel cables between posts as a vehicle safety barrier along highways. The cable barrier delineator is a rectangular one-piece cable attachment having double sided reflective insert surfaces with a split apertured mounting tab for cable engagement extending therefrom. An attachment tab retainment tie stays selectively positioned through apertures in said mounting tabs, stabilizes and prevent unauthorized removal once installed and secured on the cable.
Abstract:
A structural surface design device for creating a design with finishing surface material on a surface, the device having a base with raised projections on the bottom. Such projections have less of an affinity for the finishing surface material than does the surface on which such finishing surface material is to be applied. A handle extends upward from the base. And, optionally, the cross-sectional shape of the base is the same as the cross sectional shape of a container for the finishing surface material with the dimensions of the container and the base being such that the edge of the base, when the base has been inserted into the container, is sufficiently close to the wall or walls of the container that any finishing surface material in said container will not cure.

Abstract:
A fluid supply is provided, which includes a body defining a storage space configured to contain a fluid, a first electrode and a second electrode contained within the storage space and configured to be in direct contact with the fluid, wherein the first electrode and second electrode are configured to be connected to external power supply circuitry for applying an alternating signal across the first and second electrodes, and a first electrical contact in electrical communication with the first electrode and a second electrical contact in electrical communication with the second electrode. The first electrical contact and second electrical contact are to be connected to the external power supply circuitry and to detector circuitry for determining a measured impedance value of the fluid.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a venting device for removing unpleasant odors directly from inside the toilet bowl where most offensive odors originate. The odor is removed by means of an adjustable air intake which projects into a tubular device that attaches by means of tubing to duct work which exhaust unpleasant air via a duct fan. The exhausted air can be directed into attic, basement, crawl space areas, or may be sent directly outside by roof or side vents. Activation of exhaust fan may be by means of a typical on or off switch, motion detector or other devices.
Abstract:
The prosthetic foot includes an extending forefoot and an extending heel which curve into arcing sections to be positioned in an overlapping and opposite fashion. A fastener securely fastens the forefoot and the heel to one another at a convergence of the arcing sections. The arcing sections define a receptacle for elements which limit the deflection of the forefoot and the heel. The preferred embodiment has a plurality of individual forefoot and heel members which readily accommodate uneven or angled terrain by individually flexing to conform to the terrain.
Abstract:
A microcontroller fabricated on a semiconductor chip has an on-chip EPROM program memory with programmable EPROM configuration fuses located in a limited number of addresses of the on-chip program memory, the condition of each of EPROM fuse being defined as blown or not blown according to the value of the bit stored in the respective address of the on-chip program memory. The operating modes of the microcontroller are configurable by appropriately programming at least some of the EPROM fuses. Testing of the microcontroller in at least some of the operating modes is achieved by using latches outside the program memory to emulate the EPROM fuses, while suppressing the capability to set the condition of the EPROM fuses during the testing. Upon completion of the testing, control of the operating modes of the microcontroller is returned to the EPROM fuses, and the latches are precluded from further emulating the EPROM fuses.
Abstract:
A process for making yellow, basic azomethine dyes for paper, leather and textiles; the process being an improvement in the process of reacting an azo dye base precursor of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is phenyl or substituted phenyl, with dimethyl sulfate in solution, and in the presence of an acid-binding agent, the improvement comprising reacting dimethyl sulfate in a molar excess of from 100% to 300% per mole of precursor, in an aqueous solution having at least 30 weight percent water and from 2.0 to 3.5 moles of magnesium oxide (as the acid-binding agent) per mole of precursor.
Abstract:
An interchangeable dog harness that includes an upper frame, a lower frame, and an interchangeable cape, wherein the upper frame and lower frame are adjustable to accommodate various dog sizes, and the interchangeable cape is designed to be used in a variety of situations the dog may face.
