Abstract:
A therapeutic jolt pulley having a chamber, a pin, a wheel with an elongated pin hole, a cable with two handles is invented. The pulley's configuration is generally like a conventional therapeutic pulley except it can create jolts when the cable is pulled and the wheel rotates. The jolt can stimulate a body part, like shoulder.
Abstract:
The present invention utilizes a high-speed serial data transceiver to generate two high-speed electric pulse signals. After passing through a gain network, the signals are used for driving an electro-optic phase modulator (PM) so as to realize phase modulation of photon signals. The present invention may directly use a high-speed digital signal to realize a four-phase modulation function needed by the BB84 quantum key distribution protocol without using a digital to analog converter or an analog switch. This can prevent modulation rate from being restricted by links including digital-to-analogue conversion, switching of the analogue and the like. A dual-electrode electro-optic phase modulator scheme can also effectively reduce requirements for amplitude of a modulation driving signal, thus facilitating realization of high-speed phase modulation, which meets requirements of quantum key distribution.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a control technology of a three-phase DC motor. In order to resolve a problem in the prior art that the good current closed-loop control has not been realized on a three-phase square-wave brushless DC motor, the present invention provides a brushless DC motor control system, wherein cathodes of freewheel diodes D1, D3 and D5 are independent of input terminals of their respective switch tubes and connected in parallel to a sampling coil L1, and anodes of freewheel diodes D4, D6 and D2 are independent of output terminals of their respective switch tubes and connected in parallel to a sampling coil L2. The present invention can use a single resultant current sensor to completely and continuously sample the three-phase current existing during the motor is on and performs current freewheel, and perform the continuous closed-loop control on the three-phase current with a single current closed-loop regulator, thereby increasing dynamic and static indexes of the motor significantly.

A new chopstick with disposable sleeve is invented. This invention is better than the conventional disposable chopsticks, and it can save trees for the environment. This invention consists of a stick and a disposable sleeve. The sleeve can be removably installed on the tip portion of the stick. Special designs on the sleeve and the stick are provided for easy installation, securing, and removal of the sleeve. The sleeve also has the texture on its surface to help grip the slippery food.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for an integrated sensor network are described. In one embodiment, sensor data may be accessed from a plurality of motion sensors and a bed sensor deployed in a living unit for a first time period. An activity pattern for the first time period may be identified based on at least a portion of sensor data associated with the first time period. The activity pattern may represent a physical and cognitive health condition of a person residing in the living unit. Additional sensor data may be accessed from the motion sensors and the bed sensor deployed for a second time period. A determination of whether a deviation of the activity pattern of the first time period has occurred for the second time period may be performed. An alert may be generated based on a determination that the derivation has occurred. In some embodiments, user feedback is captured on the significance of the alerts, and the alert method is customized based on this feedback. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus and a system for authorizing a policy and charging control rule are provided. The method includes: receiving a resource allocation request message, where the resource allocation request message indicates that a resource is allocated on a designated bearer; sending ARP information of the designated bearer to a PCRF; and receiving QoS of PCC rule authorized by the PCRF according to the ARP information of the designated bearer, and performing bearer binding according to the QoS of the authorized PCC rule. In the present invention, the PCRF acquires the ARP information of the designated bearer, so that the PCC rule authorized by the PCRF can be bound to the designated bearer, and the user equipment on the designated bearer can be successfully allocated the resource.

Abstract:
A small watercraft, e.g. a small catamaran, propelled by a vertical fin-like device and/or a sail is invented. A vertical shaft is located in the front portion of the craft. Foot operated multiple arms are secured to the upper portion of the shaft. The fin is secured to a hinge which is located at the trailing end of an elongated member. The leading end of the elongated member is removably secured to a joint device at the lower end of the shaft. The arms, shaft, elongated member, and fin can rotate 360 degrees about the shaft axis. Depending on the general direction the elongated member is pointing to, the fin can propel and turn the watercraft. Because the shaft can rotate 360 degrees, the craft can also go backwards and turn at the radius less of its length. An opening between the fin and the operator is provided to allow the fin to be secured and removed during operation. The joint device also allows the fin together with the elongated member to pass up through the opening when the fin hit an object in the water. A stud is secured to the upper end of the shaft. The stud allows a sail mast to telescope on and the turning of the stud does not affect the mast or vice versa. A rudder is located at the rear end of the watercraft. Unless sailing at high wind, there is no need to control the rudder. A mechanism allows the rudder to turn upward when the rudder hits an object in the water.
