    摘要: An electronic musical instrument is of a type in which tones are produced by a limited number of tone production channels which are efficiently used for a larger number of tones utilizing channel assignment technology. Normally, three of the channels are exclusively occupied for production of three tones to constitute a triad chord. But at time a bass tone is to be produced, the specific one of the three channels is compulsively used for production of the bass tone, giving up exclusivity for production of the chord tone. This eliminates the need of providing an additional channel for the bass tone production.

    摘要: An electronic musical instrument is of a type in which tones are produced by a limited number of tone production channels which are efficiently used for a large number of tones utilizing channel assignment technology. A plurality of tones to constitute a chord are normally produced simultaneously by using plural channels, but when a duet mode is selected to automatically add a duet note to a melody note, the chord constituent tones are produced in succession as a broken chord utilizing only a single channel, thus leaving another channel available for production of the duet note. This eliminates the need to provide an additional tone production channel for the duet note.

    摘要: Provided are a liquid crystal display device with horizontal electric field mode, in which a decrease in driving speed can be suppressed by reducing the resistance of a wiring even when the number of pixels is increased, and a manufacturing method thereof. One of a scan wiring and a signal wiring is divided in an intersection portion where the scan wiring and the signal wiring intersect with each other, and the separated wirings are connected with a connection electrode positioned over a thick insulating film. Accordingly, parasitic capacitance at the intersection portion can be reduced, preventing the decrease in the driving speed. The connection electrode is formed at the same time as formation of a pixel electrode and a common electrode using a low-resistance metal, which contributes to the reduction in manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device.

    摘要: Desired tones are selected by a key depression operation or the like operation of an electronic musical instrument and these selected tones are assigned to one of pad type performance operators. When this performance operator has been operated, the tones which have been assigned thereto are sounded simultaneously or sequentially. In assigning desired tones to the performance operator, setting operators for setting tone volume, effects etc. may be set at desired set state and set information representing this set state may be stored. In this case, tone signals corresponding to tones which have been assigned to the performance operator are generated and the stored set information is read out and a control such as a tone control and effect imparting control is performed in accordance with the set information. In assigning a desired tone to the performance operator, assigning of a tone which has been selected by a key depression operation or the like to the performance operator may be realized when the performance operator has been turned from an on state to an off state. By this arrangement, selective change of a tone to be assigned can be made freely even after turning on of the performance operator if it is before the performance operator is turned off.

The header control data are loaded into a buffer register, and various characteristics of an automatic performance tone to be generated are established on the basis of the header control data stored in the buffer register. In response to activation of a changing operator, the header control data in the buffer register are changed and a hence various characteristics of the automatic performance tone to be generated are changed. When the data in the buffer register is changed during an automatic performance, the header control data stored in the memory is changed in correspondence to the change. Therefore, during an automatic performance, various characteristics of the automatic performance tone can freely be changed while listening to the generated automatic performance tone, and also the header control data stored into the header portion of the memory can be automatically rewritten in correspondence to such change.

There is also provided a circuit for selecting whether pitch adjustment should be made in both a sample tone source having a memory storing a tone signal sampled and the built-in tone source or the pitch adjustment should be made only in the sampled tone source. There are provided a circuit for generating pattern data designating tone sounding timing and tone pitch in accordance with a rhythm pattern and a circuit for performing selection as is whether the sampled tone source be driven in accordance with this pattern data or in accordance with a key depression.
