Abstract:
A media loading and unloading system, for use with a media cutting system having a cutting table and cutting apparatus to cut or score media held on a surface of the cutting table, includes an elevator assembly and a bi-directional transport system. The elevator assembly includes a drive and multiple vertically displaced bins that are vertically movable up and down by the drive. The bi-directional transport system transports media in a lateral feed direction from the elevator assembly to the cutting table surface and removes media from the cutting table surface in a lateral direction opposite to the feed direction to the elevator assembly.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided to control the atmosphere inside of a xerographic control module of an image forming device so that a dew point condition is not reached. The parameters of the atmosphere within the xerographic chamber which are controlled include pressure, temperature and humidity.
Abstract:
A printing machine of the type having a plurality of components for printing a document is disclosed. The printing machine includes an air source and a support member having a component mounted thereon. The support member is coupled to the air source which has output ports so that air flows from the output ports.
Abstract:
A media feeding and cutting system is disclosed herein which comprises a media cutter including a cutting surface and a digital cutting device, a first feeder configured to automatically transport individual sheets of media from an in-feed receptacle toward the cutter, a positioner configured to position the medium on the cutting surface, a second feeder disposed adjacent to or connected to the cutting surface which is configured to automatically transport the cut medium from the cutter to an out-feed receptacle, and a processor configured to operate the cutter, first feeder, positioner and second feeder. Additional related systems and methods also are disclosed.
Abstract:
A tri-roll curler apparatus includes an inlet roll, and exit roll, and a penetrating roll. The three rolls have substantially equal radii. At least one of the penetrating roll, and the inlet and exit rolls may be movable. Distances between the penetrating roll and the inlet roll, and the penetrating roll and the exit roll are substantially equal.
Abstract:
A xerographic marking device includes a media transport path and at least one two-color image-on-image (IOI) drum module. Each two-color IOI drum module includes in a process order around a photoreceptor: a) a first charging unit; b) a first exposure unit; c) a first development unit; d) a second charging unit; e) a second exposure unit; and f) a second development unit, wherein the intermediate transfer unit receives a first toned image and a second toned image from the photoreceptor in a single transfer and transfers those toner images to print media to produce a toned image on print media. In various embodiments, the xerographic marking device is modular and includes a common paper transport module having a cavity and a marking engine sized to fit within the cavity.
Abstract:
This invention involves a kit or cartridge useful in installing an endless belt into a belt-containing system such as a xerographic marking system. The cartridge has a sheath to house all of the components of the cartridge. These components are: a traveling roller having a turn handle or knob, a belt to be installed, gear racks on which the traveling roller will move; these would probably be located in the machine, internal cartridge rolls, and conduits in the internal cartridge rolls. The belt is looped around the traveling roll on one of its ends and wound around the internal cartridge rolls on its other end. The belt will unwind from around these internal cartridge rolls as the traveling roll moves away from these cartridge rolls.

Abstract:
An exterior or interior structural member in the form of a panel for an image forming or similar device is disclosed which has an integral plenum passage for fluid/air. The panel may be thermoformed and/or have mechanically connected parts, and may include other elements, such as toner bottle covers.
Abstract:
An apparatus for maintaining a uniform temperature along its axis by increasing the heat transfer efficiency. The apparatus uses a sealed chamber containing a substantially pure working fluid in a two phase (liquid and vapor) condition. The vaporization and condensation of the fluid increases the heat transfer efficiency and tends to equalize temperature gradients in a body in contact with the apparatus. The apparatus is utilized in various locations in an electrophotographic printing machine and can be used as a pressure roll for a heat and pressure fuser, a support or drive roll for a photoreceptive member, a support member for a photoreceptor and a heat sink for a developer housing.
