Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for scene change detection including a decoder decoding input digital video data into video data compressed by a single codec or uncompressed video data in a codec-independent format, a normalizer normalizing the video data decoded by the decoder in a temporally and spatially uniform format, and a scene change detector computing a mode ratio for each frame of the normalized video data through a mode determination, and determining, when a frame has a mode ratio higher than a preset threshold value, that a scene change has occurred at the frame. The decoder decodes video data compression-coded by various video codecs into uncompressed video frames.
Abstract:
An index database creating apparatus includes a feature extracting unit for extracting features from a content; an index creating unit for creating feature indices of the extracted features; an index selector for selecting one or more of the feature indices based on frequency-based importance levels thereof; and a feature index database for storing therein the selected feature indices along with locations thereof in the content. The index selector obtains the frequency-based importance levels based on frequency distributions of the feature indices in the content and in other contents to be stored in the feature index database.
Abstract:
A method for managing digital videos includes extracting a feature of an input digital video, searching for candidate features having similarity to the extracted feature, and comparing the extracted feature with each of the candidate features to select at least one of the candidate features similar to the extracted feature and provide information on a digital video corresponding to the selected candidate feature.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a watermarking method for protecting the copyright of digital data, which includes the step of dividing each of two successive frames into at least two sub-groups, the step of adding and subtracting a value, which varies according to pixel locations, to and from a specific component value at each pixel location of the sub-groups using Just Noticeable Difference (JND) values and averages of the specific component value at pixel locations of corresponding sub-groups of the two successive frames, the step of adaptively embedding watermark information while modifying embedment intensity of the watermark information, the step of calculating the averages of the specific component values of the sub-groups, and the step of extracting watermark information using the calculated averages.
Abstract:
A music playing system using a music visualization technique includes: a music information extraction unit for extracting one or more pieces of music information regarding basic characteristics, meta-characteristics and emotional characteristics of music, the music including music being played at present, music selected for playing, and music selected for visualization; and a display control unit that provides a user interface window for visualizing the extracted music information and controls the user interface window, wherein the user interface window includes a visualization configuration panel having a setup function for selecting the music information to be extracted.
Abstract:
A forensic mark insertion apparatus includes: an original content segment storage unit for storing multiple original contents; and a service control unit for, in response to a request for a content from a user, retrieving an original content corresponding to the request for the content from the original content segment storage unit, separating the retrieved original content into plurality of content segments, selectively inserting a forensic mark into some of the content segments, and assembling the content segments to produce an forensic-mark inserted content to be provided to the user.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for embedding and extracting a capturing-resistant audio watermark based on discrete wavelet transform, and a copyright management system using the same are provided. The apparatus for embedding a wavelet based audio watermark includes: a framing unit for dividing an input audio signal into small signals with a regular length; a discrete wavelet transform unit for calculating an mean value of wavelet coefficients by transforming the small signals based on a discrete wavelet transform; and an embedding unit for changing the calculated mean value according to a watermark where a synchronization signal is inserted and inserting the watermark into the audio signal.
