Abstract: A first playback device comprising an amplifier and a speaker is configured to (i) display, via a touchscreen, respective indications of the first playback device and a second playback device, (ii) receive, via the touchscreen, at least one first input indicating a command to play back media content in a synchrony group with the second playback device, (iii) play back the media content in the synchrony group with the second playback device such that the amplifier drives the speaker by amplifying one or more audio signals that correspond to the media content, (iv) while playing back the media content in the synchrony group with the second payback device, determine, via a voice recognition system, at least one second input indicating a command to modify playback of the media content, and (v) based on the at least one second input, cause the playback of the media content to be modified.

Abstract: A monitored space is monitored including the production of a first audio signal from received acoustic energy. The first audio signal is then processed against a whitelist of acoustic profiles and, based on lack of substantial correspondence with any of the acoustic profiles, a drone is navigated toward an apparent position of an apparent source. While in-flight, additional acoustic energy is received and a second audio signal is produced from the additional acoustic energy. The second audio signal is processed against the whitelist and, based on lack of substantial correspondence with any of the acoustic profiles of the whitelist, an investigate mode of the drone is initiated. The investigate mode includes notifying a remote monitor and supplying the remote monitor with an audiovisual feed. Responsive to a characterization by the remote monitor, an entry of the whitelist may be updated, added or replaced.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to voice biometric authentication in a virtual assistant. In some embodiments, a computing platform may receive, from a user device, an audio file comprising a voice command to access information related to a user account. The computing platform may retrieve one or more voice biometric signatures from a voice biometric database associated with the user account, and apply a voice biometric matching algorithm to compare the voice command of the audio file to the one or more voice biometric signatures to determine if a match exists between the voice command and one of the one or more voice biometric signatures. In response to determining that a match exists, the computing platform may retrieve information associated with the user account, and then send, via the communication interface, the information associated with the user account to the user device.

Abstract: This invention provides a means to identify unknown media programming using the audio component of said programming. The invention extracts audio information from the media received by consumer electronic devices such as smart TVs and TV set-top boxes then conveys said information to a remote server means which will in turn identify said audio information of unknown identity by way of testing against a database of known audio segment information. The system identifies unknown media programming in real-time such that time-sensitive services may be offered such as interactive television applications providing contextually related information or television advertisement substitution. Abstract: Devices, methods, and non-transitory program storage devices are disclosed to provide for the application of color treatments and/or color normalization operations to digital assets (DAs) in a set of DAs that are to be displayed as part of a multimedia presentation. The determination of the color treatment may be based on comparing one or more characteristics of an audio media item associated with the set of DAs to a corresponding one or more characteristics of a plurality of predetermined color treatments. Color normalization may be applied to the set of DAs prior to the determined color treatment. Techniques disclosed herein may also determine one or more parameters for a multimedia presentation of the set of DAs based on a characteristic of the associated audio media item. The parameters for the multimedia presentation may comprise one or more of: preferred DA sequences, portions, clusters, layouts, themes, transition types, or transition durations.
