Abstract:
A system and method enabling the search for a three-dimensional virtual world object across the universe of virtual worlds by utilizing a two-step search process to first identify the object and second, to actively locate and generate a URI to all presently manifest instances of that object.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for improving the loading time of a web page. The present invention includes selecting archivable objects in a web page for inclusion in an archive file, the web page referencing at least one archivable object and generating the archive file from the selected archivable objects. A web page is generated, the web page configured to display in a script enabled web browser, wherein the web page comprises executable code configured to retrieve the archive file, executable code configured to unpackage the archivable objects from the archive file, and executable code configured to render the web page in a web browser using the unpackaged archivable objects from the archive file. Beneficially, the apparatus, system, and method improve the load time for web pages.
Abstract:
A method and system for correlating out interactions, which occur due to one or a set of specific events, of an application, which is deployed in multiple adjacent tiers in an actual environment is described. First, a simulation environment corresponding to the actual environment is created. Then, specific events are led to the actual environment and the simulation environment. A pattern(s) of interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers in the simulation environment and a large number of interactions between adjacent tiers in the actual environment are obtained. Afterwards, interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers among the obtained interactions between adjacent tiers in the actual environment are correlated using a template of the obtained pattern(s) of interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers in the simulation environment as a template.
Abstract:
This application relates to a binding-induced hairpin detection system comprising: a. a first probe comprising a targeting molecule and an oligonucleotide that has a free end and an end attached to the targeting molecule; and b. a second probe comprising a targeting molecule and an oligonucleotide that has an end attached to the targeting molecule and a free end comprising a nucleotide sequence that is complementary to a nucleotide sequence at or near the free end of the oligonucleotide of the first probe; wherein upon binding of the targeting molecule to a target molecule, the free end of the oligonucleotide of the second probe hybridizes at or near the free end of the oligonucleotide of the first probe forming a hairpin stem, the non-hybridized portions of the first and second probes together with the target molecule bound thereto forming a hairpin loop, thereby providing a binding-induced hairpin.
Abstract:
A method, Web server and computer system are provided for converging a desktop application and a Web application. The method includes in response to a request from a client user for using a target desktop application, starting a desktop application initialization process on the Web server and determining an appropriate corresponding hosting server for the user; preparing and provisioning desktop application environment on the corresponding hosting server and starting the target desktop application; transmitting the corresponding hosting server's address to the client so as to make desktop application interaction between the client and the corresponding hosting server; and in response to the completion of the desktop application interaction, stopping and exiting the target desktop application on the corresponding hosting server. The client user is provided with a unified Web console for accessing desktop applications and Web applications, and Web files are shared between the desktop applications and the Web applications.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to aptamers, methods and kits comprising same for detecting Streptococcus pyogenes. The method of screening a subject for Streptococcus pyogenes involves obtaining a body sample from the subject; contacting the sample or a bacterial culture of the sample with an aptamer or a panel of aptamers specific to S. pyogenes; and detecting the presence or absence of S. pyogenes in the sample or the bacterial culture, wherein binding of the aptamer is indicative of the presence of S. pyogenes.
