Abstract: An aqueous oral care fluoride treatment composition, a method of providing fluoride to a patient's tooth surface, and a method of reducing the incidence of dental caries, wherein the composition includes: 0.1 wt-% to 3.0 wt-% of a crosslinked poly acid having carboxylic acid side groups; a pharmaceutically acceptable buffer; 1.0 wt-% to 2.5 wt-% of sodium fluoride; 0.025 wt-% to 1.75 wt-% of a multivalent cation salt; and at least 60 wt-% water; wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the aqueous composition.

Abstract: A dental appliance is described, the dental appliance including a polymeric substrate with a plurality of cavities for receiving one or more teeth, an arrangement of engineered microstructures on the substrate wherein the engineered microstructures include a therapeutic agent. The microstructures may be three-dimensionally engineered on a polymeric film disposed on a major surface of the polymeric substrate, wherein the microstructures extend outwards from the surface. The microstructures also comprise a compound releasable from the three-dimensionally engineered microstructures over a predetermined patient wear time.

Abstract: An oral composition and a method of delivering an oral composition to a dental structure are described. The oral composition can include a solvent; an acidic copolymer having acidic acrylate monomeric units, acidic methacrylate monomeric units, or a combination thereof; a neutral copolymer having neutral acrylate monomeric units, neutral methacrylate monomeric units, or a combination thereof; and optionally an active agent. The acidic and neutral copolymers can be dissolved in the oral composition and the oral composition can form a film on a surface when contacted with an aqueous solution.
