Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member, a tongue, first terminals, second terminals, and a shielding plate. The mount member and the tongue are received in a metallic shell. The terminals and the shielding plate are on the mount member and the tongue. The tongue includes terminal grooves and recesses. The terminal grooves are formed on a first surface of the tongue. Each of the recesses is recessed toward a tip of the tongue from an inner sidewall in the corresponding terminal groove. Flat contact portions of the first terminals are held in the terminal grooves. End portions of the flat contact portions are received in the recesses. Therefore, upon the tongue is deflected, the flat contact portions are constrainted in the recesses and not detached from the tongue, thereby improving stability and reliability in the contact with an electrical plug connector.

Abstract: A waterproof electrical receptacle connector includes a plastic shell, a metallic shell, an insulated housing, and a buckling member. The plastic shell includes a shell body, a through hole defined in the shell body, and an assembling hole defined on the shell body. The metallic shell is received in the through hole and defines a receiving cavity. The insulated housing is received in the receiving cavity and includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The buckling member is positioned with the assembling hole and includes a buckling body and a hook extending from the bottom of the buckling body and protruded out of the assembling hole. Accordingly, the hook is protruded out of the assembling hole and engaged with a buckling hole of a circuit board, so that the front of waterproof electrical receptacle connector can be firmly positioned with the circuit board.

Abstract: A waterproof electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing, a metallic shell, and a sealing member (e.g., a waterproof glue block). The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extended from one side of the base portion. The metallic shell includes a tubular portion and an outer peripheral portion. The outer peripheral portion is formed by deep drawing techniques and extended from the rear of the tubular portion. The inner dimension of the outer peripheral portion is greater than the inner dimension of the tubular portion. A filling groove is forming between the inner wall of the outer peripheral portion and the outer surface of the base portion. The sealing member is formed at the filling groove to fill a gap between the inner wall of the outer peripheral portion and the outer surface of the base portion and fill the bottom of the base portion.

Abstract: An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, and a plurality of plug terminals. The insulated housing is received in the metallic shell. The insulated housing includes a first groove and a plurality of second grooves. The plug terminals are held in the insulated housing in a single row manner. Each of the plug terminals includes a flexible contact portion, a body portion, and a plurality of cut portions. The flexible contact portion is extending backward from the body portion in the front-to-rear direction and protruded from the insulated housing. The cut portions are at the body portion and correspond to the first groove, and the flexible contact portions respectively correspond to the second grooves.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell and one or more insertion modules. The metallic shell includes two first walls, two second walls, and several protrusions. The walls form an insertion space. The protrusions are extending toward the insertion space from the first walls, and the protrusions are integrally formed on the first walls seamlessly. The insertion module includes an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate between the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals. When the electrical receptacle connector is mated with an electrical plug connector, the protrusions are in contact with a metallic shell of the electrical plug connector. Because the walls of the metallic shell are seamless, the connector assembly of the plug and receptacle can be waterproof. Moreover, the contacts between the protrusions and the electrical plug connector reduce the electromagnetic interferences and the radiofrequency interferences.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, first glue recess, and a first texture region. The metallic shell circularly encloses the insulated housing. The first and second receptacle terminals are held in the insulated housing. The first texture region is annularly formed on an inner wall of the metallic shell and corresponds to a periphery of the outer wall of the insulated housing. Therefore, the sealing member can attach onto the first texture region efficiently. Therefore, the sealing member does not overflow to the front portion of the receptacle cavity, and the inner gap can be sealed by the sealing member properly. Hence, the first texture region allows the sealing member to attach onto the inner wall of the shell body, and the sealing member can cover the inner gap completely to provide a reliable waterproof performance.
