Abstract: Described is a method for registering and executing instructions in a video capturing device and to a door station. The method comprises receiving at a video capturing device a signal(s) representing a first input made using an authorized device, generating a graphical representation of the received signal(s), superimposing the graphical representation onto video captured by the video capturing device and streamed to the authorized device, receiving at the video capturing device, after the signal(s) representing an input made at the authorized device have been received and graphical representations have been generated and superimposed onto video captured by the video capturing device and streamed to the authorized device, a concluding signal representing a concluding input made using the authorized device, translating, in response to said concluding input, the received signal(s) into an instruction executable by the image capturing device, and executing the instruction resulting from the translation of the signal(s).

Abstract: A method relates to distributing user credentials in a distributed physical access control system, and more generally to distributing user credentials in a distributed system. A method may include storing a user credential database (DB), a first transformed credential DB and a second transformed credential DB for authenticating users to access a first and a second service provided by the device. The method may include generating the first transformed credential DB and the second transformed credential DB based on the user credential DB and comparing a credential received from a user to the first or the second transformed credential DB to determine whether to grant access to the first or the second service. The method may include distributing the user credential DB to a plurality of other devices connected in a network for the other devices to generate transformed credential DBs for authenticating users to access services.

Abstract: A method calibrates a camera having image sensor having a center position. An image view projected onto the image sensor by a lens is captured. At least one image view boundary of the captured image view is detected. A projection center position corresponding to a center of the projected image view is determined in at least one dimension. Offset between the projection center position and a sensor center position is determined, defined in at least one dimension, corresponding to the center of the image sensor capturing the projected image view. The image sensor is moved in relation to the lens based on the offset in order to arrive at a substantially zero offset in at least one dimension between the center of image sensor and the center of the projected image view.

Abstract: A method for setting up a monitoring camera includes tilting a camera head of the camera to a tilting position in which an optical axis of the camera substantially coincides with a rotational axis that the camera head is turning around when panning, and in which the camera head is able to capture images through a wide angle lens arranged in a fixed position in relation to a base of the camera. The camera head is turned around the optical axis of the camera and captures images until wide angle images captured through the wide angle lens present the desired orientation. A home position value for a pan motor of the camera is stored, wherein the position value represents the position value for the pan motor when the captured wide angle image presents the desired orientation.
