摘要: A valve system including an aortic valve and a holder. The holder includes a holder body, which has a central portion, engagable with a holder handle, and downwardly extending leg portions that engage the valve in the areas between the commissure posts. The central portion of the holder further includes a spool located between the commissure posts, rotatable by an attached handle. Rotation of the spool draws in a tensile member passing through the commissure posts, drawing the commissure posts inward toward the spool. The tensile member passes through guides formed in the holder, configured such that they define the maximum available inward deflection of the commissure posts at the point at which the portions of the tensile member between the commissure posts assume straight configurations.

摘要: Enhanced amusement game tournament play is achieved by awarding prizes to one or more players maintaining a position on a threshold game score achieving, bump board listing, a prize qualifying cumulative threshold game score total, and/or a prize qualifying cumulative actual game score total wherein individual game scores are required to meet a threshold game score prior to being added to the cumulative total. These methods for awarding prizes may also include the awarding of prizes to one or more players achieving a prize qualifying individual game score and/or a prize qualifying cumulative game score total.

摘要: A novel food processing system for dividing a flow of food items into a plurality of streams, gently and quickly transporting the food items along a flume of fluid propelled by eductors to several slicers, transversely slicing the food items at a controlled rate to maximize yield, washing the slices, transporting the slices and controllably distributing the slices onto a conveyor for further processing. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the food processing system comprises an oversized-product separator, a segmented cutter, a mass-flow/spreading conveyor, a diverter stage, an eductor stage, a dewatering stage, a starch removal stage, a slicer infeed conveyor, at least one transverse slicer, and a slice spreader. In a preferred embodiment, cutting losses are decreased by minimizing slicing speeds.

摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for detecting sheet misfeed from a multi-tray sheet feeder. The thickness of the first sheet fed from each tray is detected by a common sensor and a thickness value is placed in memory for that tray. Each sheet subsequently fed from the same tray is detected by the common sensor and the thickness value sensed is compared with the thickness value in memory for that tray. If the values match, then only one sheet has been fed from the tray. If the thickness value is more that the thickness value in memory for that tray, then that indicates that more than one sheet has left the tray and the system is shut down to enable an operator to correct the situation. When a tray is reloaded, the thickness value in memory for the sheets previously loaded in the tray is erased and the first sheet fed from the reloaded tray is sensed and a thickness value for that sheet is placed in memory for the reloaded tray.

摘要: Preparation and deposition of supercooled, electron-doped, water-cluster clathrate nanoparticles in confined geometries and on substrates from proprietary nanoemulsions is described. The compositions can yield high-Tc superconductors, e.g., in the vicinity of −43 deg C., useful for SQUID devices in electronic and magnetic application. In certain embodiments, the water-cluster clathrates are formed in nanoemulsions.
