Abstract:
A method for realizing articles having a predetermined area and aesthetic appearance uses frames to each of which a portion of material having a prevalent flat extension can be removably hooked. The method includes stitching or punching operations and cutting operations implemented on each portion of material in a first station, a second station and a third station sequentially. Cutting operations are executed on a first portion of material hooked to a first frame in a third station, while stitching or punching operations are carried out on a second portion of material hooked to a second frame and punching or stitching operations are performed on a third portion hooked to a third frame situated in the first station in phased relation.
Abstract:
Devices and methods to process substrates are disclosed. The proposed devices comprise contact and non-contact processing modules and a controller. The controller identifies straight and curved lines to be processed on the substrate and displaces the contact processing modules relative to the substrate to process the straight lines and the non-contact processing modules relative to the substrate to process the curved lines.
Abstract:
A machine for applying support members to opposing sides of opposing edges of a sheet material includes a support tab applicator assembly that applies a first portion of a support tab along a longitudinal edge of a first side of the sheet material, a support tab finisher assembly that applies a second portion of the support tab disposed opposite the first portion to a second side of the sheet material disposed opposite the first side, and a hole punch assembly that cuts a hole through the sheet material. The machine also may include a strengthening film applicator assembly that applies a strengthening film along a longitudinal length of the first side of the sheet material and/or across the support tab.
Abstract:
A device for perforating and/or fluting and/or punching for rotary presses and/or rotary printing presses has a rotation cylinder with a holding device that fixes a base plate of a flexible and dimensionally stable material to the rotation cylinder. Fixing rods are arranged at a distance from each other in the peripheral direction of the rotation cylinder, the rods holding a flexible tool support supporting at least one machining tool on the rotation cylinder such that tool support lies directly or indirectly on the base plate. The fixing rods are respectively formed from at least one multi-jointed hinge bar having a first hinge bar which holds the hinge bar on the rotation cylinder. A second hinge bar is articulated to the first hinge bar so that, when the hinge bars are superimposed and/or closed, the tool support is clamped and/or received between the bars.
Abstract:
A sheet cutter is operable by one hand for maintaining a sheet on a placing table and by other hand for cutting the sheet to ensure safety of finger of the one hand. The sheet cutter includes a pressing operating member adapted to be depressed from a non-pressing position to a pressing position for maintaining the sheet on the placing table against a biasing force of a spring, and a cutting operating member for travelling a cutter unit between one end and another end of the placing table, wherein the pressing operating member and the cutting operating member are arranged at different positions with a certain interval to set their operating directions orthogonal to each other. Accordingly, a sheet on the placing table can be cut by operating the cutting operating member horizontally with the other hand while operating the pressing operating member vertically with the one hand.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a food comminution device having a base part, which bears a cutting part, and having an actuation part, which actuation part is articulatedly fixed to the base part and can be pivoted from a loading position toward the cutting part into a closed position in order to push food items for comminution through the cutting part and can subsequently be pivoted from the closed position into the loading position again. The food comminution device is characterized in that the base part has the outer contour of a cuboid as its outer contour, and in that the food comminution device has a collecting container, and in that, on one face surface of the base part, there is provided an opening for the sliding-in of the collecting container into the base part, and in that the cutting part is arranged on a first side surface of the base part, which side surface is adjacent to the face surface, and in that the cutting part and the actuation part are constituent parts of a first comminution tool, and in that the base part is a constituent part of a further comminution tool, and/or at least one further comminution tool is fixed to the base part, wherein the further comminution tool is arranged on a further side surface of the base part, which further side surface is adjacent to the face surface, and in that the collecting container can be arranged in the base part selectively in a first position, in which said collecting container collects food items comminuted by way of the first comminution tool, or in a second position, which differs from the first position and in which said collecting container collects the food items comminuted by way of the second comminution tool.
Abstract:
A fruit and clove pomander kit for efficiently creating a pomander using fruit and cloves. The fruit and clove pomander kit includes a carving and piercing tool having a piercing end adapted to create pierced holes within a fruit and a carving end opposite of the piercing end. The kit further includes a plurality of dried cloves, a rubber band, a writing instrument and at least one hanger hook. The hanger hook is comprised of a helical portion, an engaging portion extending upwardly from the helical portion and an end portion extending downwardly from the helical portion opposite of the engaging portion. The end user uses the kit to create a pomander with a piece of fruit.
Abstract:
A method of binding plurality of pages such that the pages lie flat when book is open which comprise of creating window cut or window slit on the page at a space parallel to the spine of book, die hole punching between the window slit and spine, accomplishing v shaped spine, and stapling between the die hole punching and window slit and a machine which has assembly to window cut, die hole punch and staple resulting in step binding.
Abstract:
Extrudate 10 materials that are in a formable and/or collapsible state present multiple challenges for cutting into lengths, particularly when the extrusion profile Includes one or more openings 12 (e.g., running the length of the extrudate 10). The invention is directed at apparatus, devices, systems and methods for cutting the extrudate 10. A cut 64 (e.g., and initial cut) into the extrudate 10 is performed using an ultrasonic knife 27 that vibrates at one or more frequencies. Preferably the cut using the ultrasonic knife 27 is a partial cut 64. A further cut through the extrudate 10 may be made using a secondary cutting tool such as a wire cutter 68. The secondary cutting tool preferably creates a final cut 66 through the extrudate profile, for cutting a part to a length. The ultrasonic knife 27 preferably travels In the horizontal direction at a rate faster than the extrudate 10 while cutting.
Abstract:
A puncher cylinder includes a puncher knife, the cylinder being arranged for cooperation with a paper web such that the cylinder when in use can be rolled longitudinally along and in contact with the paper web, punching holes in the paper web by way of the puncher knife. The holes are punched a longitudinal distance from each other essentially corresponding to the circumference of the cylinder. A system is further disclosed including the punching cylinder, as is a method utilizing the punching cylinder, and a newspaper partly produced by way of the punching cylinder.
