Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may assess a radio link quality of a plurality of frames for communication, via the interface to the RF circuitry, with a radio access network (RAN) node. When the radio link quality of a frame, of the plurality of frames, is below an out-of-sync (OOS) threshold, the UE may indicate that the frame is OOS. When the radio link quality of a frame, of the plurality of frames, is above an in-sync (IS) threshold that the frame is IS. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may process information, received from the RAN node indicating a partial subframe, of a subframe, to be used to transmit uplink control information (UCI) to the RAN node. The UE may also perform UCI mapping for using of the partial subframe to transmit UCI via a physical uplink control channel (PUSCH), and proceed by using the partial subframe to communicate the UCI to the RAN node.

Abstract: Aspects of filtering coefficient configuration operations are described. Some aspects include a user equipment (UE) decoding a measurement configuration information element (IE) including a measurement quantity parameter, a reference signal (RS)-type filter configuration and at least one filter coefficient. In some aspects, the UE filters at least one of a cell measurement result and a beam measurement result, according to the measurement configuration IE. If the measurement quantity parameter indicates the cell measurement quantity, the UE can filter the cell measurement result according to the RS type filter configuration and the filter coefficient to determine a measurement evaluation input for a measurement reporting operation. If the measurement quantity parameter indicates the beam measurement quantity, the UE can filter the beam measurement result according to the RS type filter configuration and the filter coefficient to determine a beam measurement selection input for a beam measurement selection operation.

Abstract: An embodiment for user equipment that receives a plurality of measurement gap repetition patterns from a network. Each measurement gap repetition pattern may be assigned to a different frequency of the network. The plurality of measurement gap repetition patterns may include skipping measurement patterns. Further embodiments may include the user equipment receiving a repetition period in a measurement object frame or receiving a plurality of measurement gap repetition patterns in which the measurement gaps are non-colliding with measurement gaps of other repetition patterns assigned to the user equipment.

Abstract: Logic may receive an initial communication from a user device, the initial communication comprising capabilities. Abstract: An apparatus of a base station (BS) of a radio access network (RAN) comprises memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry includes a central unit (CU) portion and a distributed unit (DUI) portion that implement a BS multi-layer protocol stack divided between the CU portion and the DU portion. The processing circuitry initiates a handover to change a serving cell of user equipment (UE). The UE selects to a new cell, performs a cell update procedure, performs a buffer request procedure, and performs a cell update procedure to download buffered data and to perform data transmission with the new cell.
