Abstract: A tissue treating device includes a capsule and first and second clip arms each having a proximal end received within the capsule for movement between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A tissue retention feature extends radially inward from each arm to grip tissue in the tissue clipping configuration and release the tissue in the open configuration. The retention features are coupled to the arms via curved portions. The second clip arm includes a second tissue retention feature extending radially inward from the first portion of the second clip arm toward the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A clipping system includes an adapter, a clip and a first extending member. The clip includes first and second jaws which are movable between an insertion configuration and an initial deployed configuration. The jaws are biased toward the initial configuration. The first member is releasably coupled to the clip and movably connected to the adapter. The first member includes a distal end releasably coupled to the first jaw such that longitudinal movement of the first member relative to the adapter moves the clip between the insertion configuration, the initial configuration and a review configuration. The first member is operable to retract the clip proximally over the adapter so that the clip is forced open as the clip is retracted over the adapter. A first releasable link connects the first member to the clip and releases when the first member is subject to a force exceeding a predetermined threshold value.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to positioning elongate members at a target site within a body lumen, such as for acquiring a biopsy from a peripheral airway. Some embodiments are particularly directed to an elongate member with an embedded transducer positioned at a predefined rotational angle with respect to a projected position of an instrument extended out of a distal opening of a first lumen in the elongate member. In many such embodiments, a rotational transducer may be positioned within a second lumen in the elongate member to generate a radial image including indicia of the embedded transducer. Accordingly, an operator may determine a projected position of the instrument prior to extending the instrument out of the lumen. In several embodiments, the embedded transducer may include a forward imaging transducer, such as a fiber optic.

Each of the arms includes a proximal part releasably coupled to a distal part, a proximal portion of the distal part configured to be received within the channel of the capsule so that the arms move proximally and distally relative to the capsule between a tissue receiving configuration, in which distal ends of the arms are separated from one another, and a tissue clipping configuration, in which distal ends of the arms are moved toward one another. The proximal portion of each of the arms is configured to release from the corresponding distal part to lock the distal part of each of the arms over a portion of target tissue to be clipped while the proximal parts of the arms are removed from the body.
