In the case where a phenomenon called brightness saturation occurs due to high brightness of light output from a transmission apparatus and high lightness in a portion of a transmitter (light source) within a frame obtained by imaging in a reception apparatus, a decoder in a reception apparatus performs first image processing of shifting the focus by moving a lens in an imager or a filtering process (gradation filtering process) of an image for replacing the color of a brightness saturation area with the color surrounding the brightness saturation area, before determination of a change area, determination of the color of the change area, and decoding of bit string data.
Abstract:
When necessary process times in a reception apparatus for a determination on a change area, a determination on the color of the change area, and a decoding of bit data stream exceed a predetermined time from a frame acquiring timing, and a process delay would occur, an image generator acquires a frame. In addition, a decoder temporarily stores the frame in a memory, and thereafter at a predetermined timing performs the determination on the change area, the determination on the color of the change area, and the decoding of the bit data stream.

An image generating apparatus including a processor and a memory having instructions stored therein which are executable by the processor to cause the processor to: cause a display to separately and simultaneously display (i) a panoramic image in progress corresponding to images which are captured by an image capturing unit, and (ii) a live-view image corresponding to an image that is newly captured by the image capturing unit while images are being captured by the image capturing unit; receive an instruction to terminate image capture processing for generating panoramic image data while the panoramic image in progress and the live-view image are being displayed; and perform, in response to reception of the instruction, control to record, as a completed panoramic image, panoramic image data generated from the images captured by a time when reception of the instruction is finished, even if images have not yet been captured in a predetermined capture range set in advance for a full panoramic image to be generated.

An image acquisition unit 52 acquires images consecutively captured while an image capture range is moved in a predetermined direction. A face detection unit 53 detects same subject images from the images acquired. A facial expression determination unit 55 calculates evaluation values of each of the same subject images detected. A facial expression decision unit 56 decides, as a combination target, a specific subject image from the same subject images, based on the evaluation values calculated. A combination unit 58 generates a wide-range image by combining the subject image decided as the combination target with the images sequentially acquired by the image acquisition unit 52.

The server then determines an image area (second image area) of a moving body (for example, forklift) equipped with the marker or the like. The server generates and stores training data corresponding to the second image area. The training data will be used for machine learning later.
