摘要: The protection circuit for a power source of an electronic device capable of providing a certain range of current values to a peripheral unit comprising a power storage unit. The protection circuit comprises a first and second charging paths and a voltage detector. The voltage detector switches the first charging path to turn on the first switch, when the voltage value of the power storage unit 30 is lower than the threshold voltage, the power source can charge the power storage unit by the first switch, wherein the current limiting device limits the current value of first charging path to lower than a predetermined. The voltage detector switches the first charging path to breakup the second switch and the voltage detector switches to the first charging path to turn on the first switch.

摘要: A handheld device with a fast-charging capability is adapted to be connected to a charger to obtain an electric power. The handheld device includes a battery, a charging circuit, a safety circuit, a control unit, and an input module. The charging circuit is electrically connected to the charger and transfers an electric power to the battery. The safety circuit is used for restricting an upper limit of the electric power transferred by the charging circuit. The input module is provided for a user to input an emergency charge command. Upon receiving the emergency charge command, the control unit instructs the safety circuit to lower the restriction on the charging circuit, so as to raise the upper limit of the electric power that can be obtained by the charging circuit, thereby accelerating the charging of the battery.

摘要: The invention discloses a connector, which includes a first connecting unit, a second connecting unit, a third connecting unit, and a determining unit. Moreover, the first connecting unit is capable of being electrically connected to a first power source and/or a first data source; and the second connecting unit is capable of being electrically connected to a second power source and/or a second data source. Additionally, the determining unit is electrically connected to the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit respectively, for selectively outputting a data signal and/or a power signal based on a connecting status. 摘要: A method of updating firmware of a circuit module includes providing a switch for selectively connecting the circuit module to a computing system and an update module. The circuit module enters a reset mode and an input/output pin of the circuit module switches to an input mode in response to power being supplied to the circuit module. The input/output pin is pulled to a first digital logic value, which controls the switch to connect the circuit module to the update module. While the circuit module is in the reset mode, the circuit module receives updated firmware from the update module. Then the circuit module enters a normal operation mode and switches the input/output pin to an output mode for outputting a second digital logic value. When the input/output pin outputs the second digital logic value, the input/output pin controls the switch to connect the circuit module to the computing system.
