摘要： An apparatus for improving network infrastructure includes multiple network components. The network components include a Firewall and a Domain Name Service server. The network components may also include a Network Attached Storage device, an On-Demand Ad Hoc Network service provider, a Local Load Balancer, a Global Load Balancer, a Multi-Protocol Reverse Proxy, a Forward Proxy, a Secure Socket Layer Virtual Private Network Appliance, and/or a Network Optimizer Appliance. The apparatus also includes one or more routers that provide the only external connectivity to the apparatus, and a switch through which some or all of the network components communicate. The apparatus may be made part of a network of like apparatuses, where each router of each of the apparatuses executes electronic instructions for providing an on-demand private network with the other apparatuses. The apparatus may be configured so that the private network complies with guidelines for government, military, or business security.

摘要： Apparatus for preparing potato chips. The apparatus has a slicer for the slicing of potatoes, means for conveying sliced potatoes through a heated oil bath and for removal of cooked potato chips from the heated oil bath. The slicer has a knife blade that rotates at the lower end of a hopper for potatoes, the speed of rotation of the knife blade being controlled so that the knife blade is stationary when the temperature of the oil bath is below a predetermined temperature, and the speed of rotation of the knife blade being further controlled so that the speed of rotation increases as the temperature is increased above said predetermined temperature. The slicer preferably has a chute that tapers to an orifice above the slicer blade, with the orifice tapering in the direction of rotation of the slicer blade. The apparatus may also be adapted for use with corn chips or tortilla chips.

摘要： A seal (12) that provides visual evidence if the seal is forced open or cooled below a breakdown temperature. The seal (12) includes a plastic strip (20), a layer of ink (22) printed on a surface of the plastic strip (20), and a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive (24). The seal (12) can be incorporated into a bag (10) for sealing the bag (10) closed. When the bag (10) is sealed closed, the ink layer (22) is sandwiched between the plastic strip (20) and the adhesive layer (24), and the adhesive layer (24) is adhered to a back wall (18) of the bag (10). If the seal (12) is forced open, the ink layer (22) visibly delaminates from the plastic strip (20). The adhesive layer (24) and the plastic strip (20) are chosen to have different rates of shrinking when cooled, so that when the seal (12) is cooled below its breakdown temperature, the ink layer (22) delaminates. In an alternative embodiment of the plastic strip (20'), two layers (60, 62) of ink are printed onto the plastic strip (20'). The first layer of ink (60) is clear and is printed onto the untreated plastic strip (20') in a pattern. The second layer of ink (62) is opaque and is printed uniformly over the plastic strip (20') and the clear ink (60) after the plastic strip (20') is treated.

摘要： A tape or label for sealing a container that provides visual evidence if the seal is forced open or cooled below a breakdown temperature. The tape includes a plastic strip, a layer of ink printed on a surface of the plastic strip, and a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape can be incorporated into a bag for sealing the bag closed. The tape includes an ink layer that is sandwiched between the plastic strip and the adhesive layer. The adhesive can be secured to portions of a bag to seal it closed. If the seal is forced open, the ink layer visibly delaminates from the plastic strip. The adhesive layer and the plastic strip are chosen to have different rates of shrinking when cooled, so that when the tape is cooled below its breakdown temperature, the ink layer delaminates. In an alternative embodiment of the tape, two layers of ink are printed onto the plastic strip. The first layer of ink is clear and is printed onto the untreated plastic strip in a pattern. The second layer of ink is opaque and is printed uniformly over the plastic strip and the clear ink after the plastic strip is treated.

The method includes determining a match between the domain name and the query name and between the resource record type and the filter type for a subset of the plurality of DNS queries, and blocking a predetermined percentage (equal to the throttle percentage) of the subset of the plurality of DNS queries.

摘要： An electronic pin pulling tool has an elongated shank having opposite hook and handle ends. A pin engagement tip extends transversely from the hook end of the shank and has a free end, an opposite shank end, an outer pushing surface facing away from the handle end and an inner pulling surface facing the handle end of the shank. The shank end of the tip is recessed inwardly from the pushing surface by a distance generally equal to the distance between the pushing and pulling surfaces to facilitate insertion of the tip into the open end of an electronic pin with minimal inclination of the shank relative to the pin. To accommodate a particular pin size, the transverse distance from the free end of the tip of the tool to the opposite surface of the shank in the plane of the inner pulling surface is greater than the inside diameter of the lip of the pin and less than the inside diameter of the sleeve of the pin.
