    Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for facilitating radio access network integration with data centers. Mobile network configuration information is obtained identifying threshold latency and distance criteria and network function operating criteria. Data center information is obtained for a plurality of data centers. Latencies between a plurality of radio base stations and the plurality of data centers are determined. A primary data center and a backup data center are selected to interconnect with each radio base station based on a geographical distance between each data center and each radio base station satisfying the threshold distance and latency criteria. Network function pool configuration information is generated for the primary data center and the backup data center. A domain name system (DNS) server and a network repository function (NRF) are configured based on the network function pool configuration information.

    Abstract: Presented herein are efficient techniques through which a session management function (SMF) may obtain, from a user plane function (UPF), an error indication associated with a user equipment (UE) for which a handover has been initiated from a Fourth Generation (4G) network to a Fifth Generation (5G) network. The SMF function initiates a timer in response to receiving the error indication. The SMF function stops the timer and processes a request when the request is obtained before an expiration of the timer and processes the error indication when the request is not received before the expiration of the timer.

    Abstract: In one example, a base station entity, for a mobile wireless network, obtains an indication of a first potential Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR), a first unique identifier associated with the first potential GBR, a first priority level associated with the first potential GBR, a second potential GBR, a second unique identifier associated with the second potential GBR, and a second priority level associated with the second potential GBR. Based on the first priority level being associated with a higher priority than the second priority level, the base station entity determines whether the first potential GBR can be supported. If so, the base station entity provides an indication of the first unique identifier to a core network associated with the mobile wireless network, wherein the indication of the first unique identifier prompts the core network to enforce the first potential GBR.

    Abstract: A method, performed by a wireless resource controller, includes receiving an indication that a first wireless device is experiencing data loss over a communication channel provided by a wireless access point utilizing a first radio access technology (RAT). The method includes determining a plurality of congestion window values associated with other wireless devices that share a shared wireless resource with the first wireless device. The shared wireless resource is provided by a base station of a cellular network utilizing a second RAT. The method includes determining an initial congestion window value for the first wireless device based on the plurality of congestion window values associated with the other wireless devices. The method includes transmitting data to the first wireless device from the base station in accordance with the initial congestion window value for the first device in order to satisfy a performance criterion for the first wireless device.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for optimizing user plane node selection process during a process of handing over user equipment between two communication networks. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, at a network component, a session creation request for handing over the user equipment, the user equipment having a current active communication session within a first communication network with a first node of the first communication network, the session creation request including an identifier of the first node; receiving, at the network component, a list of candidates to serve as a user plane serving gateway for the user equipment in the second communication network; and selecting, by the network component and based on at least the identifier of the first node, the first node from the list of candidates to serve as the user plane serving gateway for the user equipment in the second communication network.
