摘要: When the number of real-time events received from the same device exceeds a threshold value within a predetermined period of time, the monitoring server transmits a data sending request for stopping transmission of real-time events but transmitting regular events to the device. When it is determined, based on the regular events received from the device that has been stopped from transmitting real-time events, that the abnormality in the device has been resolved, a data sending request for restarting to transmit real-time events is transmitted to the device.

摘要: A method of congestion mitigation may include determining whether a host is sending a read command or a write command to an NVMe controller, and in response to a determination that the host is sending the read command, transmitting the read command via a first transmission control protocol (TCP) connection between the host and the NVMe controller. The method may further include in response to a determination that the host is sending the write command, transmitting the write command via a second TCP connection between the host and the NVMe controller.

摘要: There is included in one example a switch, including: an ingress port to receive data from a source host; a first egress port to send data to a destination host; a second egress port to send data to the source host; and a congestion notification generator (CNG) including: a congestion detector to compute bandwidth consumption of a flow associated with a packet received on the ingress port and assigned to the first egress port, and determine based on the computed bandwidth consumption that the flow is congested; a flow extractor to extract a flow identifier of the flow from the packet; a throttle calculator to calculate a quantitative flow throttle value for the flow; and a header builder to build a congestion notification packet to instruct the source host to throttle the flow.

摘要: An improved autonegotiation approach includes determining that a negotiated rate between a first network device and a second network device exceeds data transfer capacity over a network path downstream of the second network device. In response, a configuration message is generated and transmitted to the first network device. When received by the first network device, the configuration message causes the first network device to limit data transfer between the first network device and the second network device to no more than the downstream data transfer capacity.

摘要: Determining a bit rate at which to deliver a packet stream over a network link. An origin device transmits over the network link unsolicited data packets to a destination device while contemporaneously transmitting over the network link a first packet stream encoded at an initial bit rate to the destination device. The origin device may be, but need not be, a content delivery network (CDN) edge node and the destination device may be, but need not be, a cable modem (CM). The origin device determines whether the network link supports delivering a second packet stream in lieu of the first packet stream encoded at a higher bit rate based, at least in part, on an amount of retransmission requests the origin device receives for packets in the first packet stream from the destination device.

摘要: A network congestion notification method and network node are provided in a network system. The network node receives a remote direct memory access (RDMA) packet, where the RDMA packet carries a source queue pair number corresponding to a transmit end and a destination queue pair number corresponding to a receive end. The network node generates a congestion notification packet when detecting network congestion, where a destination queue pair number of the congestion notification packet is the source queue pair number. Then the network node sends the congestion notification packet to the transmit end so that the transmit end may decrease a sending rate of a data flow to which the first data packet belongs.

A corresponding method comprises associating a plurality of source components in a software application with one or more corresponding source rates for invoking a target component in the software application; monitoring corresponding invocations of the target component by a number of instances of the plurality of source components; receiving an enablement request for a new invocation of the target component from a current instance of a current source component; verifying an enablement of the new invocation; estimating a serving probability indicative of a residual capability of the target component to serve the new invocation; and enabling the new invocation according to the serving probability.
