    摘要: Methods and apparatus for controlling the registration of one elongated continuous structure (e.g., plastic zipper) with attachments or formed features (e.g., sliders or pre-seals) as it is fed to a sealing station, where it is joined to another elongated continuous structure (e.g., packaging film) with formed features (e.g., thermoformed pockets). The latter elongated continuous structure will be intermittently advanced through the machine, pulling the former elongated continuous structure joined thereto forward. Registration is accomplished by tacking the respective elongated continuous structures together while the respective features on the elongated continuous structures are in proper registration. After tacking, the respective portions of the elongated continuous structures immediately downstream of the tack zone are advanced to the sealing station in proper registration.

    摘要: A method for sharing geometric information and maintaining parametric consistency amongst different software applications in a collaborative environment is presented. The method is based on geometric information sharing via neutral files, and incorporates Internet based messaging mechanisms amongst applications to maintain the parametric control over the exchanged geometry. In a preferred embodiment the proposed method is applied to Heterogeneous Assembly Modeling (HAM). By means of the presently disclosed method, within the heterogeneous assembly model, the parametric control over part geometry is maintained, even though the parts are imported in the assembly via neutral files originated by other CAD applications.

    摘要: A priority resolver shortens the time between a requesting circuit initiating a request for access to a requested circuit that is shared with other circuits and the requesting circuit actually functioning with the requested circuit. A first portion of the priority resolver circuit is associated with the requesting circuit and makes a request for access to another portion of the priority resolver circuit associated with the requested circuit before the first portion has chosen the highest priority one of a plurality of requesting circuits that have concurrently bid for access to the requested circuit. Before the portion of the priority resolver associated with the requested circuit can respond to the access request and return an access grant signal, the first portion of the priority resolver circuit has chosen the highest priority requesting circuit. In this manner the time for accessing requested circuits is decreased.

    摘要: This disclosure is for an automated canopy greenhouse having a motor driven canopy that is pulled over curved arch supports. The greenhouse has a generally rectangular base framework to which the arches are attached, the outside of the structure having the general shape of a cylinder cut lengthwise and resting on its flat side. A canopy or tarp is wound around a drum positioned near the bottom of one of the long sides. A shuttle bar is attached to two trolleys each of which ride on an arch at each end of the greenhouse. The trolleys are motor driven. One end of the canopy is attached to the shuttle bar and closes or opens the greenhouse as the trolleys and shuttle bar are moved. Inside the drum there is a torsion spring that is preloaded to balance the load of the canopy and associated hardware as the canopy is being raised or lowered. Successive greenhouse units may be attached to a first greenhouse unit that has the motor, and tarps on the successive units may be closed or opened using the same motor.
