Abstract: A valve device includes a flow path formation member provided with at least one flow path hole through which a fluid passes, and a drive part that outputs a rotational force. The valve device includes a shaft, and a rotor having a sliding surface that slides while facing an opening surface of the flow path formation member where the flow path hole is opened, and the rotor is configured to increase or decrease an opening degree of the flow path hole with rotation of the shaft. The valve device includes an energization member that energizes the rotor toward the flow path formation member. The valve device includes a coupling structure configured to tiltably couple the shaft to the rotor such that a contact state between the sliding surface and the opening surface is held regardless of a posture or a position of the shaft.

Abstract: A rotation stop shape is visually recognizable through an exposing hole. A relative angle between an output shaft and an actuator lever can be freely set while the rotation stop shape, which is visually recognizable through the exposing hole, is used as the reference angle of the output shaft. Therefore, it is possible to limit disadvantageous variations in a fixation angle of the actuator lever. The fixation angle of the actuator lever relative to the output shaft can be freely changed by using the rotation stop shape, which is visually recognizable through the exposing hole, as a reference angle of the output shaft.

Abstract: In an exhaust device for an internal combustion engine, a control device controls a motor based on an output signal of a sensor. The control device has a first valve position detector detecting a first valve position when a valve unit is biased to close using only a biasing force of a spring. The control device has a second valve position detector detecting a second valve position when the valve unit is biased to close using a driving force of the motor that is larger than the biasing force of the spring. The control device detects a foreign object between a valve object and a valve seat and detects a size of the foreign object based on a comparison result between the first valve position and the second valve position.
