Abstract: A lubricant composition including (a) a first low viscosity polyalkylene oxide based fluid such as a combination of propylene oxide (PO) and butylene oxide (BO) based fluid with a first alcohol as an initiator; wherein the first low viscosity PO/BO based fluid has a number average molecular weight of less than about 5 600 Da; and (b) a second high viscosity polyalkylene oxide based fluid such as a combination of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) based fluid with a second alcohol as an initiator; wherein the second high viscosity EO/PO based fluid has a number average molecular weight greater than about 600 Da; a process for manufacturing the above lubricant; and a driveline fluid made from the above lubricant composition.
