    摘要： The present invention relates to a dental head unit capable of measuring a root canal length of a patient. The head unit includes a head section having a sleeve rotatably supported therein for detachably holding a cutting tool therein, a neck section extending proximally from the head section and having a proximal end for connecting to a handpiece body, a contact capable of detachably contacting the cutting tool for providing electric connection to the cutting tool when in contact, and a contact holder fixed to a proximal end of the contact and axially slidable with respect to the neck section. The contact holder has a lead attachment to which a lead for electrically connecting the contact to a root canal length measuring device is detachably attached. The present invention also relates to a contact holder assembly including the contact and the contact holder.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for drilling glass using a drill and drill bit. The method utilizes a drill bit having a plurality of shaft diameters, and being provided with a plurality of types of abrasives. By providing a coarser abrasive on a narrow portion of the bit, and finer abrasives on a wider portion of the bit, drilling can be accomplished while reducing the incidents of micro fracture in the glass being drilled. Providing an even narrower connection shaft between the two cutting portions of the drill bit further facilitates reduction in micro fractures created during the drilling process.

    摘要： In a linear amplifier circuit, an amplifier amplifies an input signal to produce an output signal, an input signal envelope detector detects the envelope of the input signal, and an output signal envelope detector detects the envelope of the output signal. The difference between the outputs of the envelope detectors is determined, and the amplifier is controlled in accordance with the difference so that the level of the output signal is linearly related to the input signal. Compensation circuits are provided for temperature compensation of the linearity in the characteristic of the envelope detectors.
