    Abstract: Audio signals from microphones of a mobile device are received. Each audio signal is generated by a respective microphone of the microphones. First microphones are selected from among the microphones to generate a front audio signal. Second microphones are selected from among the microphones to generate a back audio signal. A first audio signal portion, which is determined based at least in part on the back audio signal, is removed from the front audio signal to generate a modified front audio signal. A second audio signal portion is removed from the modified front audio signal to generate a left-front audio signal. A third audio signal portion is removed from the modified front audio signal to generate aright-front audio signal.

    Abstract: Microphone signals are received from microphones of a computer device. Each microphone signal of the microphone signals is acquired by a respective microphone of the microphones. A previously unselected microphone is selected from the microphones as a reference microphone, which generates a reference microphone signal. An adaptive filter is used to create, based on microphone signals of the microphones other than the reference microphone, predicted microphone signals for the reference microphone. Based on the predicted microphone signals for the reference microphone, an enhanced microphone signal is outputted for the reference microphone. The enhanced microphone signal may be used as microphone signal for the reference microphone in subsequent audio processing operations.

    Abstract: Embodiments of sound leveling in multi-channel sound capture system are disclosed. According to a method, a processor converts at least two input sound channels captured via a microphone array into at least two intermediate sound channels. The intermediate sound channels are respectively associated with predetermined directions from the microphone array. The closer to the direction a sound source is, the more the sound source is enhanced in the intermediate sound channel associated with the direction. The processor levels the intermediate sound channels separately. Further, the processor converts the intermediate sound channels subjected to leveling to a predetermined output channel format. Because sound leveling of the intermediate sound channels can be achieved independently of each other, at least some of the deficiencies of the conventional gain regulation can be overcome or mitigated.

    Abstract: Methods and systems employing an internal microphone and an external microphone of a headset to capture own voice content in the presence of noise, extract the own voice content from background noise (by performing noise reduction on the microphone outputs to generate a noise reduced signal indicative of the own voice content), and optionally also perform voice activity detection to identify segments of own voice presence or absence. In some embodiments, the external microphone is employed to capture the own voice content, the internal microphone signal is employed to infer the noise captured by the external microphone, and the inferred noise is subtracted from the external microphone signal to generate the noise reduced signal. Aspects include methods performed by any embodiment of the system, and a system or device configured (e.g., programmed) to perform any embodiment of the method.
