    摘要: A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining, at least in part, an axially-extending seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first member and the second member. At least one of a load ring engagement surface of the first member and an axial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring includes a convex rounded portion extending over at least half the axial length thereof.

    摘要: A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining a seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first and second members. An axial segment of a seal ring engagement surface of the load ring extends over at least half the length, measured along the longitudinal axis, between a radial segment of the seal ring engagement surface and a radial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring. At least one of a load ring engagement surface of the first member and an axial segment of the first member engagement surface of the load ring includes a convex rounded portion.

    摘要: In the installation of underground utilities it is common to utilize an earthmoving machine, such as hydraulic excavator, to dig a trench and aid in the placement of the individual pipe segments that comprise a conduit or pipeline. Normal placement of the pipe segments requires communication between the excavator operator and laborer that is positioned adjacent the pipeline in the trench. As the pipe segments are lowered into position, the laborer insures a proper connection of each joint and the overall support beneath the pipeline. The requirement of another individual in the trench is both inefficient and represents a significant increase in the cost of laying the pipeline. The present invention utilizes a grapple assembly to grasp the individual pipe segments to maneuver them into and within the trench. The grip on the pipe segment is sufficient to permit its insertion into the unfinished pipeline. In addition the grapple assembly is provided with tong assemblies that are mounted in a manner sufficient to allow them avoid contact the bedding material upon release of the pipe segment so as not to disturb the support of the pipeline or they may be utilized in a manner to slightly alter the configuration of the bedding material in the trench to accommodate pipe segments of varying diameter.

    摘要: An apparatus for mounting a rotary position sensor to a linkage pin housing and a linkage pin. The linkage pin is rotatably positioned within the linkage pin housing. The apparatus includes a sensor housing adapted to mount to the linkage pin housing, and a linkage pin adapter located within the sensor housing and having a first end adapted to mount to the linkage pin. The linkage pin adapter is adapted to rotate within the sensor housing as a function of a rotation of the linkage pin. The apparatus also includes a first coupling member connected to a second end of the linkage pin adapter. The first coupling member is flexible and has a general cup shape extending away from the linkage pin adapter. In addition, the apparatus includes a second coupling member connected to the first coupling member. The second coupling member is adapted to drivably rotate the rotary position sensor in response to the rotation of the linkage pin.

    摘要: An apparatus for controlling an earthworking implement. The earthworking implement is movably attached to a track-type tractor having a main frame and a track roller frame. The track roller frame is located on a left and a right side of the main frame. The apparatus includes a c-frame attached to inner portions of the track roller frame at positions toward a forward portion of the track-type tractor. The apparatus also includes four independently operable hydraulic cylinders attached to one of the main frame and the c-frame. Each of the hydraulic cylinders has a head end located toward the attachment to the one of the main frame and the c-frame, and a rod end located substantially vertically upwards of the head end. The apparatus also includes an earthworking blade attached to each of the rod ends of the hydraulic cylinders and to the c-frame.

The present invention utilizes a pipe handling apparatus that may be inserted within a segment of pipe with an end face thereof bearing against a flange defined by a pipe supporting cylinder. This connection allows the operator to apply a force to the pipe segment in the direction of engagement with the pipeline to insure connection. A spraying apparatus is defined by the pipe handling apparatus in the pipe at a location that is generally coincident with the pipe joint Upon activation, the spraying apparatus will provide a coating of sealant entirely around the internal portion of the pipe joint. This apparatus permits the excavator operator to dig a trench and set and seal the segments of a pipeline without the aid of additional personnel.
