摘要:
Method for determining an axle geometry by recording and evaluating a topographical image of a face (6) of a wheel (1) fitted to an axle (2), and a sensor (10) for execution of the method. The method includes projecting light with a coding onto an area on the face (6) of the wheel (1) from a projecting direction; recording the light reflected from the area on the face (6) of the wheel (1) with an image converter (8), from a direction other than the light projecting direction; determining three-dimensional surface coordinates for the topographical image of the face (6) of the wheel (1) from the recorded light; and evaluating the topographical image in relation to a reference system.

An apparatus for recording a shape of a section of the human ear is provided. The apparatus has a recording device for recording a spatial shape of a first and a second subsection of the section and for recording a position or a variable representing the position of the first and the second subsection relative to a predetermined optical feature of the section. The apparatus has an evaluation device for obtaining shape information about the section by combination of the shapes of the subsections based on the recorded positions or the variables representing the respective position. This enables a number of individual images to be joined together into a three-dimensional map based on natural features in the auditory canal, such as skin flecks or veins for example.

In order to determine three-dimensional coordinates of a surface (2) of an object (3) to be detected, the changes in color of a color pattern (5), which is projected by a projector (4) onto the surface (2), are to be encoded by using a redundant code. An analyzing method, which analyzes the changes in color occurring in an image (7) recorded by a camera (6), is insensitive to changes on the surface (2). In addition, the contour of the object (3) can be determined with a single recording. The method is thereby also suited for moving objects.

Carbon black characterized by a STSA surface of between 20 and 180 m2/g, a 24M4-DBP absorption of between 40 and 140 ml/100 g, a specific BET surface of between 20 and 250 m2/g, a content of 0.01 to 20 wt. % of silicon, referred to its overall weight, and a tan &dgr;0/tan &dgr;60 ratio greater than 3.37−0.0068 STSA is produced by mixing silicon-containing compounds with the carbon black raw materials in the oxidative pyrolysis of the carbon black raw materials and optionally using carbon black oil as fuel. The carbon black can be used as a filler in rubber mixtures, preferably for tires.

An inspection apparatus (10) applying two dimensional nondestructive examination images onto a three dimensional solid model of a component (12) to display a virtual component (73) that may be manipulated to perform a nondestructive inspection. The two dimensional nondestructive examination images may be acquired from a plurality of views of the component in order to provide full coverage of the surface to be inspected, with appropriate stitching of images in regions of overlap between adjacent views. The two dimensional images (62) may be color or black and white photographs or ultraviolet or infrared images, for example. Multiple types of nondestructive examination images, results of inspection data evaluations, and design, operational and/or maintenance information may be displayed separately or jointly on the three dimensional solid model. Surface features of interest that are mapped as defined areas (76) on the three dimensional solid model may be displayed simultaneously in different views on 2D and 3D images of the virtual component.

A cost-effective panoramic scanner provides for the three-dimensional detection of objects, and in particular for the detection of ear impressions. For this purpose, a pattern is projected onto an object to be detected via a projector that generates an object image via a camera, the object image containing images of markings that enable an unambiguous assignment of the position of the object with respect to the projector and the camera. Since an exact synchronization of the rotary movement of the object with the recording of the object images is not necessary by virtue of the markings, the precision of the mechanism used is relatively nonstringent.

An improved process for tanning leather by treating animal skins with a water-soluble melamine-formaldehyde resin in the presence of an acid catalyst towards the end is improved by using a melamine-formaldehyde resin which is at least partially etherified with a glycol ether, alkyl glycol ether, or both.
