Abstract: Disclosed herein are a storage server and an adaptive prefetching method performed by the storage server in a distributed file system. An adaptive prefetching method includes receiving, by a management request processing unit of a storage server, a stream generation request from a client, sending, by the management request processing unit, a stream identifier and information about an I/O worker, which correspond to the stream generation request, to the client, receiving, by the management request processing unit, a read request from the client, inserting, by the management request processing unit, the read request into a queue of the I/O worker corresponding to the read request, performing, by the I/O worker, adaptive prefetching for the read request using an identifier of a file object of stream information corresponding to the read request, and transmitting, by the I/O worker, data that is read by performing adaptive prefetching to the client.

Abstract: A distributed storage server includes a plurality of data server devices and a plurality of metadata server devices. The metadata server devices store metadata associated with data which is distributively stored in the data server devices. A selected metadata server device checks whether a dangling directory occurs by performing a rename operation, based on information associated with a full path of a parent directory of a source and a full path of a parent directory of a target included in a request of the rename operation. When it is determined that the dangling directory does not occur, the selected metadata server device processes transactions directed to the metadata such that the rename operation is performed. The checking whether the dangling directory occurs is performed before a transaction period for processing the transactions.

Abstract: A method of efficiently replicating data stored in data servers in an asymmetric file system is provided. A replication processing apparatus of a network transmits a replication request only to a data server that does not replicate data so that it is possible to reduce replication time of a data block and to extend time-out with reference to a response message transmitted by the data server. In addition, each of the data servers may efficiently transmit copy data to another data server by a pipeline data transmission method.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a logical qubit execution apparatus and method. The logical qubit execution apparatus may be configured to execute, by a logical execution layer, a quantum circuit including requested logical qubits using a lattice surgery operation, generate, by the logical execution layer, measurement results of the logical qubits by combining measurement results of logical Pauli frames, generate, by a physical execution layer, a physical qubit circuit by converting a logical qubit operation corresponding to the measurement results of the logical qubits into a physical qubit operation, and measure, by the physical execution layer, results of an operation on physical Pauli frames by executing the physical qubit circuit.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for processing fast persistent writing to nonvolatile memory. A method for processing fast persistent writing to a nonvolatile memory includes writing log data from a last storage position in a data block created in a certain size, reflecting the entire data block in a storage medium, increasing the last storage position by a size of the written log data, and reflecting the entire data block in a storage medium, wherein the data block is linearly linked to an additional data block in a creation order, and wherein the data block includes a log data storage region, information about a last storage position where the log data is stored in the log data storage region, and information about a linked next data block.
