    摘要: A fluid-actuated, such as a pneumatically actuated, hydraulic pump of either the single acting or the double acting type is controlled in its operation by a main valve member which has two connecting compartments the fluid in one of which is always at the atmospheric, and in the other always at a superatmospheric, pressure. The main valve member has two end faces, one larger than the other, the smaller being always acted upon by the superatmospheric pressure of the fluid and the larger one intermittently. An auxiliary valve member controls the admission of the pressurized fluid to the larger end face and is open only during the reversal of the hydraulic pump from suction to pumping stroke, while the pressure acting on the larger end face is relieved during reversal from the pumping to the suction stroke. A duct communicates one or the other of the connecting compartments of the main valve member which an actuating compartment of an actuating unit, depending on the position of the main valve member. In a single acting pump, the pressure relief of the larger end face is accomplished by a guiding element reciprocating with the hydraulic pump and permitting pressure relief only during reversal from the pumping to the suction stroke. In a double acting pump, an additional auxiliary valve member controls the pressure relief during such reversal. In the double acting pump, a channel communicates the other actuating compartment either with the one connecting compartment or with a control compartment delimited by the smaller end face of the main valve member.

    摘要: A process for the continuous production of longitudinally welded metal tubes where a metal strip (1) is drawn from a strip supply and gradually shaped into a slit tube in a shaping station (2). The slit tube is welded in a welding system (4) along the edges of the strip, and the welded tube (6) is extracted by an extraction device (5). The welding system (4) is a protective gas arc welding system with several electrodes supplied by separate sources (4c, 4d) of welding current. The electrodes are arranged in succession, in the direction of production. The welding system (4) has two welding devices (4a, 4b), whose electrode tips are directed at a common welding point. Only one of the welding devices (4a, 4b) is in operation at any given time, while the other welding device is in a standby position. When an electrode change becomes necessary, the arc of the welding device in the standby position is first struck by means of an auxiliary arc. The welding current intensity of the welding device presently in operation is then reduced, while the welding current intensity of the welding device in the standby position is simultaneously increased.

    摘要: An apparatus for producing annularly corrugated metal tubes, particularly the outer conductor of coaxial high-frequency cables, using at least one pressure roller revolving around a plain tube. The corrugations are formed in the plain tube by the teeth of the pressure roller, which is rotatable about an axis at a 90° angle to the longitudinal axis of the tube, and the axis of rotation of the pressure roller, itself in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tube, revolves around the plain tube being fed to the pressure roller as the corrugations are produced. The plain tube in turn rotates the pressure roller by its feed. The tips of the teeth are substantially flat, the tube is tightly guided in a guide bushing (12) in front of and behind the engagement with the pressure roller (13), and the number of teeth (Z) ranges between 7 and 11, preferably between 8 and 10.
