Provided are a planographic printing plate precursor and a method of producing a planographic printing plate precursor, in which an image forming region during printing on newspaper page is ensured and edge stains are eliminated. Provided are a planographic printing plate precursor (10b) including an aluminum support (12) which has an anodized film (14), and an image recording layer (16) on the aluminum support (12), in which an end portion of the planographic printing plate precursor (10b) has a sagging shape having a sagging amount (X) of 25 μm to 150 μm and a sagging width (Y) of 70 μm to 300 μm, the image recording layer (16) contains an infrared absorbing agent, and a part or an entire side surface of two sides of the aluminum support (12), the two sides having the sagging shape and opposing each other contains an ink repellent agent (44); and a method of producing the planographic printing plate precursor (10b).

A cylindrical printing plate precursor of the present invention comprising a cured resin sheet formed into a cylindrical shape, the cylindrical printing plate precursor comprising an overlap margin part comprising opposite end parts of the cured resin sheet superimposed on one another, each end part of the cured resin sheet in the overlap margin part having a thickness that is smaller than the thickness of the cured resin sheet other than in the overlap margin part, and a joining part, in the overlap margin part, in which a hole providing communication between the opposite end parts of the cured resin sheet is filled with a cured resin, the overlap margin part having a specific width, the joining part having a specific size, and the joining part having a specific cross-sectional area in the plate surface direction.

Provided is an on-press development type lithographic printing plate precursor having a support, an image-recording layer, and an outermost layer in this order, in which the image-recording layer contains an infrared absorber, an electron-accepting polymerization initiator, and a polymerizable compound, LUMO of the electron-accepting polymerization initiator-LUMO of the infrared absorber is 0.45 eV or more, and the outermost layer contains a discoloring compound. Also provided is a method of preparing a lithographic printing plate and a lithographic printing method in which the on-press development type lithographic printing plate precursor is used.

An object of the present invention is to provide a flexographic printing plate having excellent ink transferability in a solid portion and the like and having good printing quality in a halftone portion. The flexographic printing plate of the present invention is a flexographic printing plate having a relief layer including a non-image area and an image area, in which the image area has a halftone dot portion having a halftone dot area ratio of more than 0% and less than 100%, and a solid portion having a halftone dot area ratio of 100%, small dots in the halftone dot portion and the solid portion or small dots in the halftone dot portion have two or more recessed portions having different depths according to a halftone dot area ratio, and the two or more recessed portions having different depths are recessed portions whose depth becomes deeper as the halftone dot area ratio increases.

The present invention is to provide a flexographic printing plate having excellent ink uniformity in an image area, particularly, in a solid portion regardless of a printing speed, a method for manufacturing the flexographic printing plate, and a flexographic printing plate precursor used in the manufacturing of the flexographic printing plate. The flexographic printing plate of the present invention is a flexographic printing plate having a relief layer provided with a non-image area, and an image area having an uneven structure formed on the surface, in which a concave portion constituting the uneven structure is formed of at least one of a plurality of grooves having a fixed width extending in one direction or a plurality of hole groups constituted of a plurality of bottomed holes having the same diameter scattered in the one direction, a depth of the concave portion is 2 to 20 μm, each of the plurality of grooves and the plurality of hole groups is arranged in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the one direction, and the grooves and the bottomed holes respectively have two or more kinds of widths and diameters.

The present invention provides a lithographic printing plate support, comprising an aluminum plate and an anodized film of aluminum formed on the aluminum plate and having micropores extending in the anodized film from a surface of the anodized film opposite from the aluminum plate in a depth direction, wherein each of the micropores has a large-diameter portion having a specific shape and a small-diameter portion having a specific shape and communicating with a bottom of the large-diameter portion; at least a part of an inside of the small-diameter portion is sealed with protrusions made of boehmite; and a ratio of an average height of protrusions made of boehmite inside the large-diameter portion to an average diameter of the large-diameter portion at the surface of the anodized film is up to a predetermined value.
