Abstract:
A destacker for small flat packages such as audio or video cassettes includes a gripper for gripping a vertically oriented package of a horizontal stack of such packages, and transferring the package to a releasing location while simultaneously repositioning the package into a horizontal orientation. The gripper is mounted to a pair of pivoted links. An actuator causes the links to rotate such that the gripper is transferred while being initially rotated in a first direction and finally being rotated in an opposite direction.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a sorting apparatus of the type including a plurality of mobile carriages for the transport and unloading of objects transported, in which: a predetermined advance time "t" with respect to the moment of unloading, a signal is sent to the carriage which activates the unloading motor in accordance with a predetermined scale of acceleration and for a pre-set time interval. In return a confirmation signal is generated. In the absence of the confirmation, a new signal is sent analogous to the preceding one, so as to control the unloading with an advance time "t" reduced by an interval of .DELTA.t equal to the time period between the sending of the first and second control signal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and the relevant devices for controlling the unloading functions in sorting plants of the kind comprising a plurality of carriages, each of which is provided with a revolving belt suitable to move orthogonally to the direction of feed in order to effect the unloading of the items, wherein the controlling devices act upon the belt acceleration during the unloading stage, in order to adjust the belt speed to the mass of the items to be unloaded.
Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed for selectively sorting objects which comprises a fixed conveyor table having guide rails thereon and an endless conveyor member movable over the table. The conveyor member is formed of a plurality of connected plates which each have a slot therein and which each include a slidably mounted pushing element. The pushing element includes a throttle planet wheel comprising at least two spaced rollers engageable with the rail to move the slider transversely across the respective plate. Objects are thus discharged from the conveyor at selected stations spaced along the conveyor travel path. Each station is provided with a multi-positioned hopper which can supply the discharge object into one of a plurality of containers.
