Abstract:
A valve for controlling a fluid, in particular for controlling a gas. The valve includes a valve housing having a housing sleeve and an electromagnetic actuator for an armature which is guided in an axially displaceable manner and which cooperates with a valve seat situated on a seating plate so that a fluid flow through outflow orifices in the seating plate is controllable. The armature is guided along an armature sleeve which is situated in the housing sleeve.
Abstract:
A bicycle rack is provided for use with trucks having a cargo box particularly of the type for use with a pick-up truck. The bicycle rack can carry a number of bicycles in an upright position in the cargo box of a truck, secures the bicycle without having to part the wheel from the bicycle or use clamps or straps to restrain the bicycle, can carry bicycles of different sizes, and can be adjusted to fit different makes and sizes of trucks. The bicycle rack comprises a cross member, having stakes at each end for fixing it to the side walls of the truck box, and forks for holding one or more bicycles in place.
Abstract:
An injector system which is in particular used as an injector block for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engines includes a fuel distribution rail, a counter bracket, a first injector, and at least one second injector. Here, the counter bracket has a first connecting piece and a second connecting piece. The first injector is joined to the counter bracket on an input side of the first connecting piece with the aid of an elastic sealing ring. The second injector is joined to the counter bracket on an input side of the second connecting piece with the aid of an elastic sealing ring. In this case, the counter bracket is connected to the fuel distribution rail. The fuel distribution rail is used for distributing compressed natural gas to the injectors. The injector system has a compact design.
Abstract:
An atomization system for fuels, particularly for charging a chemical reformer for obtaining hydrogen, includes at least one metering device for metering fuel at at least one metering point into a connecting tube capable of receiving a temperature-adjusted substance stream. The connecting tube features at least one atomization point located downstream of the at least one metering point.
Abstract:
A new bomb release mechanism which allows an RC aircraft to carry an unlimited number of model bombs. The new bomb release mechanism allows the pilot to release these model bombs in any sequence using only one unused channel on the receiver in the aircraft. The present invention accomplishes these objectives by employing a special alloy metal wire which shrinks when subjected to an electric current. A programmed circuit is used to energize the metal wire upon receipt of the designated control signal.
Abstract:
A Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network is described in which session state is maintained in access switches, but not signaling gateways which maintain transaction state only during pendency of a related transaction. The signaling gateway further provides transparent inter-operation between the VoIP network and non-IP networks, such as the PSTN, by means of a translator which directly translates messages between the networks.
Abstract:
An atomization system for fuels, particularly for charging a chemical reformer for obtaining hydrogen, includes a fuel injector, an atomization tube, an air inlet and at least one metering aperture. The atomization tube features at least a first section and a second section having different outer diameters or wall thicknesses.
Abstract:
An afterburner device and a method for operating an afterburner device, especially for chemical reformers for obtaining hydrogen, for making heat available from fuels and/or residual gases from a reforming process and/or a fuel cell process. In this context, heat is supplied in a controlled manner from recirculated combustion gases to a first housing and/or a combustion chamber situated in it and at least in part filled with heat resistant, open-pored foamed ceramics. The regulation takes place, for instance, based on a temperature recorded in the combustion chamber using an infrared light measurement.
Abstract:
1-Chloro-2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid is prepared by chlorination using an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal hypochlorite. The compound is useful as a dye modifier.
Abstract:
The anchor flukes are carried on a cross bar having spaced abutment plates which limit pivotal movement of a primary arm which is pivoted on the cross bar. A secondary arm also pivoted on the cross bar at one end does not have anything to limit pivotal movement and has the anchor cable secured at the other end. A pressure releasable latch interconnects the arms so that they release upon engagement of the anchor flukes with an obstruction when the boat is positioned above the anchor thereby allowing the anchor to be raised with its flukes trailing.
