Abstract:
A dosing device is for liquid fuels, e.g., for input into a chemical reformer in order to recover hydrogen, or into a secondary combustion device in order to generate heat. The dosing device has at least one metering device for metering fuel into a metering conduit, and a nozzle body, adjoining the metering conduit, having at least one spray discharge opening that opens into a metering chamber. The dosing device furthermore has a nozzle body that has a downstream support element with a swirl insert, disposed on the spray-discharge side, in which the at least one spray discharge opening is disposed.

Abstract:
A spread spectrum CDMA communications system for communicating message data between a plurality of users to a plurality of PCN units. The spread spectrum communications system is located within a same geographical region as occupied by a pre-existing system such as a cellular telephone system or microwave system. The spread spectrum CDMA communications system can operate without causing undue interference to the cellular telephone system or microwave system and the cellular telephone system or microwave system can operate without causing significant interference, less than 1% total users affected, to the PCN system. The spread spectrum CDMA communications system includes a plurality of PCN-base stations and a plurality of PCN units. A PCN-base station has a device for converting the format of the message data into a form suitable for communicating over radio waves, a spread spectrum modulator for spread spectrum processing the message data, and a transmitter for transmitting the spread spectrum processed converted message data from the PCN-base station to a PCN unit. The PCN-base station also has an antenna, and spread spectrum detectors for recovering message data communicated from the PCN units. A PCN unit has an antenna, and a detector coupled to the antenna for recovering message data communicated from the PCN-base station. The detector includes a spread spectrum demodulator. Also, the PCN unit has a device for converting the format of the message message data into a form suitable for communicating over radio waves, a spread spectrum modulator, and a transmitter.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for folding and banding skeins of yarn is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a conveyor-like transport assembly which moves unfolded skeins of yarn from a loading station to a folding and banding station. The folding station comprises a plurality of co-operating claws, pneumatically controlled, which fold the skein in half and push it through the center of a hollow tubular support member which has positioned around its outer surface a pre-formed paper band. Subsequent to the introduction of the folded skein into the tubular member a doffing mechanism simultaneously removes the folded skein and the pre-formed band from the tubular member, resulting in the band being positioned around the central portion of the folded skein. The apparatus also comprises means for wrapping and sealing band forming slips around the tubular member prior to the introduction of the skein into the tubular member.
Abstract:
An injector system used as an injector block for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engines includes: a first block element which has a fuel distribution channel, and at least one second block element on which a first connecting piece and at least one second connecting piece are situated. Injectors are positioned within the first and second block elements in such a way that the first injector is assigned to the first connecting piece and the second injector is assigned to the second connecting piece. The fuel distribution channel of the first block element is used for distributing compressed natural gas to the injectors.
Abstract:
A pet sanitation device comprises a frame, an elongated handle and an adjusting assembly. The frame includes a receiving bottom area receiving one part of a bag opening. A closing arrangement is provided for receiving another portion of the bag opening. The adjusting assembly is movably supported on the handle and includes a control member slidable along the handle and a transition element having distal and proximal ends thereof. The distal end is associated with the closing arrangement. In operation, upon slidable movement of the control member, the transition element is activated and the closing arrangement is moved within the frame to convert the bag opening from open to closed position and vise versa.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dosing device for liquid fuels, in particular for the supply into a chemical reformer to obtain hydrogen, or into a postcombustion device to produce heat. The dosing device has at least one metering device to meter fuel into a metering line, and a conditioning unit, which abuts the metering line and delivers the fuel into a metering chamber. The conditioning unit is designed as a purely mechanical valve, which opens and closes at a frequency of approximately 1500 Hz.
Abstract:
A fuel injector for injecting water, in particular into the gas flow of fuel cells, has a valve needle having joined to its spray-discharge end a valve-closure member, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-closure member a sealing seat. A spray-discharge orifice is provided downstream from the sealing seat, at least a portion of the surfaces of the fuel injector that come into contact with water being coated by a corrosion-inhibiting and/or friction-reducing coating.
