Abstract:
A processing method for automatically opening a slide-open package of tobacco articles with a hinged lid; the processing method including the steps of: mechanically clamping an outer container of the package; exerting pull on the lid to rotate the lid into an open position by means of a first actuator, which contacts a top wall of the lid, and has a suction head which engages the top wall by suction; and, simultaneously and in coordination with the step of exerting pull on the lid, exerting thrust on an inner container of the package, to slide the inner container axially with respect to the outer container, by means of a second actuator, which contacts a wall of the inner container through a window formed through a corresponding wall of the outer container.

Abstract:
A method for the production of an article in an automatic machine operating by means of a succession of operating cycles. The production method comprises the steps of: moving, at the beginning of a first operating cycle, a carriage provided with at least one seat configured to accommodate a component by means of a main conveyor and along a processing path; stopping, during the first operating cycle, the carriage in a loading station; inserting, during the first operating cycle, the component into the seat while the carriage is standing still in the loading station; checking, at the end of the first operating cycle, whether the component is actually present in the seat; moving, at the beginning of a second operating cycle, the carriage from the loading station to a following station, only if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the first component is actually present in the seat; keeping, at the beginning of the second operating cycle, the carriage in the loading station, if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the seat still lacks the component; and inserting, during the second operating cycle, the first component into the seat while the carriage is standing still in the loading station, if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the seat still lacks the component.
Abstract:
A conveying method and system for a machine to fill bottles, with a non-circular cross-section, in particular for products in the pharmaceutical industry; the following are provided: a plurality of holding members designed to hold a plurality of bottles in a suspended position; moving means to move the plurality of holding members along a processing path; and guide means, which are arranged parallel to the processing path, allow the bottles to move only when the bottles are arranged according to a predetermined orientation, and force the bottles to assume and maintain the predetermined orientation.
Abstract:
A capping station has a first conveying system designed to move a plurality of full bottles; a second conveying system, arranged above the first conveying system, designed to move a plurality of caps; a capping device designed to pick up at least one cap from the second conveying system to apply the cap to a bottle carried by the first conveying system; and a heating unit comprising at least one heating device, a support beam carrying the heating device, a main operating device designed to move the support beam between a rest position in which the heating device is far from the bottles and a work position in which the heating device is close to the bottles to heat at least the neck of the bottles, and a safety operating device independent of the main operating device, designed to move the support beam between the work and rest positions.
Abstract:
A cutting unit for the cutting of a substrate band for an aerosol-generating device, and a related cutting assembly, wherein the substrate band has a longitudinally-extending axis and wherein the cutting unit comprises: feed means for feeding the substrate band along a feed direction parallel to the extension axis; a cutting head comprising a cutting edge having a closed profile for cutting a substrate portion from the substrate band, which cutting head is movable in a movement direction transversal to the feed direction between a cutting position, in which it cuts the substrate portion, and a release position, in which it releases the substrate portion; and conveying means, which are arranged and shaped so as to receive the substrate portion from the cutting head when the cutting head is in the release position, and convey the substrate portion towards an output section.
Abstract:
A packing method and packing machine for producing a slide-open package of tobacco articles with a hinged lid can include obtaining a wrapped group of tobacco articles with a first packing unit; obtaining an inner container which houses the wrapped group of tobacco articles and has the hinged lid with a second packing unit by folding an inner blank about the wrapped group of tobacco articles; and obtaining an outer container which slidably houses the inner container inside and is provided with a connecting tab, that at one end is integral with the outer container and at the other end is glued to the lid of the inner container, with a third packing unit by folding an outer blank about the inner container.
Abstract:
Packing machine and packing method for producing an inner container by folding an inner blank about a wrapped group of tobacco articles; the inner blank is fed along a packing path by way of a packing conveyor and through a work station wherein a folding device is arranged, provided with two twin folding bodies that are moved along a work direction perpendicular to the packing path for folding portions of the inner blank; each folding body has a top member, an intermediate member, and a bottom member which are arranged in different positions along the work direction to perform in succession respective folds of the inner blank while the folding body moves with a continuous motion along the work direction.
