It is provide to: move, by means of a main conveyor ((1155)) and along an assembling path (P), a carriage (16) provided with a seat (18) designed to house the component (1); place, in an input station (SI) arranged along the assembling path (P), the component (1) in the seat (18) of the carriage (16); wind, in a winding station (S5) arranged along the assembling path (P) downstream of the input station (SI), an externally insulated conductor wire (13) around the component (1) in order to obtain a series of turns making up the coil (11); lock an initial end of the wire (13) to the carriage (16) before starting to wind the wire (13); and lock a final end of the wire (13) to the carriage (16) at the end of the winding of the wire (13).

A manufacturing machine and method for producing a cartridge for an electronic cigarette includes a first assembling drum mounted rotatable around a first rotation axis and has a first seat to house a support of a heating device coupled to a wick with an electrical coil, and a second seat axially aligned with the first seat and designed to house a tank. At a first feeding station, a support of a heating device coupled to a wick with an electrical coil is fed into the first seat. At a second feeding station, a tank is fed into the second seat. A first insertion station is arranged downstream of the first and second feeding stations and provided with a first pushing device, which axially moves the support of a heating device from the first seat to the second seat to insert the support into a tank carried by the second seat.

A method and unit for filling a disposable electronic cigarette cartridge with a liquid substance; a conveyor feeds the disposable cartridge along a filling path; a coupling device fits the disposable cartridge with a metering chamber, which is placed on top of the disposable cartridge, is of sufficient volume to contain a full measure of the liquid substance, and has a bottom outlet conduit terminating inside the disposable cartridge; a feed device feeds the liquid substance into the metering chamber so that the liquid substance falls by gravity from the metering chamber, along the outlet conduit, into the disposable cartridge; and a removing device removes the metering chamber from the disposable cartridge once all the liquid substance has fallen by gravity from the metering chamber, along the outlet conduit, into the disposable cartridge.

Along the working path, the component is arranged in the seat of the carriage in an input station, and at a winding station, a wire having a diameter less than 500 μm is directly wound around the component for a winding time ranging from 50% to 70% of the total work cycle, to obtain the coil with a number of turns less than 50. A work cycle lasts from an initial instant, in which the carriage carrying the component without the coil reaches the winding station, to a final instant, in which the carriage carrying the component with the coil leaves the winding station.
