摘要: In a method embodiment, an example method for simultaneously filling balloons with water, using an apparatus sufficiently compact to be operated while being held by hand, is disclosed. The method includes attaching the apparatus to a water supply. The apparatus includes a fitting comprising an inlet configured to connect to the water supply and a bulkhead joining the at least three branch assemblies. Each branch assembly includes a tube and an automatically-sealing balloon with a neck disposed around and removably attached to the tube. The method further includes simultaneously providing water from the attached water supply to each balloon of the balloon-filling apparatus. The method further includes detaching one or more of the balloons from the balloon-filling apparatus using a force comprising gravity each detached balloon and the water contained therein. Each detached balloon automatically seals upon detachment.

The filling device additionally comprises a second gripping device, for simultaneously removing the row of filled and weighed containers and for transferring said containers to the first weighing station or to a second weighing station of the at least one weighing station and for transferring the row of filled and twice weighed containers from the at least one weighing station back into the nest or into a different nest.

In particular, the a filling device for filling machines is provided comprising a hollow body in which a delivery member is movably inserted, wherein the hollow body comprises a lower portion comprising a delivery duct which ends with a delivery opening, said lower portion being intercepted by a cone-shaped rotating shutter, comprising a major base, a minor base and a through hole which is aligned with the delivery duct when the filling device delivers a product, characterized in that the minor base of the rotating shutter is associated with a drawing system, which applies a constant and predetermined drawing force on said minor base. The valve described in the invention can be used in net weight filling machines.

A controller may utilize one or more of a flow time, flow rate or a volume of transfer of substance. Barcoded and RFID-containing components may be used to determine what connection or disconnection has been made, and/or time thereof. Process compliance may compare measured or determined flow or connection time, flow rate and/or the transfer volume to a predetermined time, flow rate and/or volume, and adjust one or more of the time, flow rate and/or the volume of the transfer. An optional holder or cradle is configured to receive therein a fluid transfer connector formed by the connection of first and second connector portions, each in fluid communication with a flow conduit or channel that delivers substance to or receives substance from its respective connector portion, only if the connector portions are properly connected together. One or more sensors may be used to determine identification information of the connector and/or flow rates of substance through the connector.

A fluid source is fluid coupled with the inlet port of the manifold port assembly. Each of a plurality of containers are fluid coupled with a select one of the outlet ports of the manifold port assembly. A motor is coupled with the carousel for rotating the carousel relative to the housing.
