摘要: An advertisement service allows advertisers to obtain a right to provide an advertisement to a mobile device that is located within or nearby a particular geographic region. For instance, the advertisement service may map one or more entities (e.g., retailers, schools, museums, etc.) to a geographic region at which these entities are located. The advertisement service provides an offer to one or more advertisers to provide an advertisement to a mobile device located within or nearby one of these geographic regions. Based on responses received to the offer, the advertisement service provides information to the mobile device for display of an advertisement.

摘要: A user of a computing device may view an initial content item in a landscape orientation on a display of a computing device. When the user rotates the computing device, supplemental content may be presented in a portrait orientation on the display of the computing device. The supplemental content may include virtually any information in which the user may be interested and/or that is related or similar to the content item. Accordingly, rather than presenting such supplemental content upon an affirmative request or search by the user, the supplemental content is presented to the user automatically when the user rotates the computing device from a landscape position to a portrait position or vice versa.

摘要: A computing device can analyze image or video information to determine a relative position of an active user. The computing device can optimize audio or video data capture based at least in part upon the relative location. The device can capture audio using one or more microphones pointing toward the relative location of the active user, and can use other microphones to determine audio from other sources to be removed from the captured audio. If video data is being captured, a video capture element can be adjusted to focus primarily on the active user. The position of the user can be monitored so the audio and video data capture can be adjusted accordingly.

摘要: Revenue generated through electronic book sales (and other transactions, such as rental, sample, leasing, etc.) is allocated among rights holders and other parties based on a ranking of common work distributed in electronic book form or any other form (e.g., paperback, hardcover, audio). As the ranking changes, the revenue allocated to the rights holder changes. The changes may be made in real-time as revenue and metric data is collected.

摘要: An electronic device can utilize one or more sensors and/or imaging elements to determine the relative position of at least one light source relative to the device. In various embodiments, occlusions can be used to cause shadows to be cast on certain sensors. By determining the relative position of each occlusion relative to the sensor, the device can determine an approximate direction of the light source. Utilizing the relative position of a light source, the electronic device can properly light or shade a graphical object to be rendered by the device or otherwise process image information captured by the device.

摘要: Systems, methods and interfaces for the selective management of information collected by a browser are provided. The browser obtains a network resource, such as a Web page, from a content provider, and collects information associated with the display and interaction with the content by a user. The browser presents, among other controls, a graphical icon that is representative of an integrated command to remove information collected while accessing a first network resource and to cause the browser application to access a second accessed network resource. Upon receipt of an input corresponding to the selection of the graphical icon, the browser deletes information collected while accessing the first network resource and accesses the second network resource.
