    Abstract: Example implementations relate to inactive state backlight operation. In some examples, a system may include a display. The display may include a liquid-crystal display (LCD) panel and a backlight to illuminate the LCD panel. The system may include a computing device comprising instructions executable to disable the LCD panel from displaying a live image while the display is in an inactive state. The system may include a computing device comprising instructions executable to reduce an electrical current supplied to the backlight while the display is in the inactive state from a first amount of electrical current associated with the active state to a second amount of electrical current to cause the backlight to reach an operating condition within a targeted length of time from reentering the active state.

    Abstract: According to an example, at least one user in proximity to a display is detected with a camera. A primary user and eye gaze are determined. The location of a secondary user relative to the display is calculated, and an active screen area and an inactive screen area based on the eye gaze are determined. A first angle and a first brightness for the active screen area and a second angle and a second brightness for the inactive screen area based on the location of the secondary user are calculated, and focus area boundaries for the active screen area based on the location of the secondary user are calculated. The first angle, the first brightness, and the focus area boundaries are applied to the active screen area, and the second angle and the second brightness are applied to the inactive screen area.

In some examples, monitor calibration can include a scaler processing resource and a memory resource storing machine readable instructions to cause the scaler processing resource to record, by a sensor included on a monitor, color measurements of the monitor in response to receiving record instructions from an external computing device, transmit the recorded color measurements to the external computing device, receive calibration instructions from the external computing device based on the recorded color measurements, and calibrate the monitor using the calibration instructions received from the external computing device.

    Abstract: A method is provided in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure. The method includes detecting at least one voice input from a user of an electronic device, transforming the at least one voice input into a text structure including at least one word, and determining a current context scope of the electronic device. The method also includes comparing the text structure to a plurality of existing text structures, where each of the existing text structure associated with a command for an action on the electronic device. The method further includes identifying, when the text structure matches with at least one of the existing text structures, a command to correspond to the at least one voice input from the user, and performing an action on the electronic device based on the identified command.
