Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for indicating a channel in a wireless local area network WLAN. A sending station generates and sends a physical protocol data unit PPDU, the PPDU includes a preamble field and a data field, a high efficiency signal field HE-SIG-A of the preamble field includes a bandwidth identifier and a channel bonding identifier, and the channel bonding identifier is used to indicate whether a data transmission channel is continuous in a frequency domain. In the foregoing manner, a discontinuous channel in a frequency domain in a wireless local area network is indicated, an available channel for data transmission is improved, and a system throughput is increased.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a data transmission method and apparatus, and the method includes receiving, by a receive end by using secondary radio, a feature narrowband signal sent by a transmit end, enabling, by the receive end, primary radio based on the feature narrowband signal, where a receiving bandwidth of the secondary radio is less than a receiving bandwidth and a sending bandwidth of the primary radio, and sending, by the receive end, a first broadband signal to the transmit end by using the primary radio, where the first broadband signal is used to notify the transmit end that the receive end has enabled the primary radio. According to the data transmission method in the embodiments of this application, the transmit end may determine, by using feedback (for example, the first broadband signal) from the receive end, that the receive end has enabled the primary radio.

Abstract: The present application provides a channel access process method in a wireless local area network. The method includes: generating, by a station, a backoff counter value; then performing, by the station, a backoff operation after receiving a first trigger frame, where the backoff operation includes: deducting, from the backoff counter value, a quantity N of subchannels for random access, to obtain a new backoff counter value; and when the new backoff counter value is 0 or a negative number, randomly selecting, by the station, one subchannel from the subchannels for random access, and then accessing the subchannel to send an uplink frame. The present application further provides a corresponding channel access apparatus. Applying the method and the apparatus of the embodiments of the present application improves system access efficiency and avoids a waste of system resources.

Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method. When performing data transmission with a first station in a bandwidth power saving mode by using an operating channel of the first station, an access point performs data transmission with a second station by using an operating channel of the second station. Therefore, even if the operating channel of the first station includes a primary channel, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using another channel. Further, for the access point, although the operating channel of the first station occupies only a part of available bandwidth resources of the access point, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using a remaining channel.

According to the method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, a channel access manner can be managed, a congestion degree of a system can be decreased, and channel utilization can be increased.

Abstract: A method includes: broadcasting, by an AP, a first trigger frame to a STA within coverage of the AP, where the first trigger frame carries a preset condition, to request a STA that meets the preset condition to send an uplink access signal in a specified time after receiving the first trigger frame; receiving, by the AP, an uplink access signal sent by at least one STA, where the uplink access signal includes an identifier sequence; and when determining that an identifier sequence included in a received uplink access signal is the same as an identifier sequence included in a resource group allocated by the AP to a STA that sends the uplink access signal, determining, by the AP, that the STA that sends the uplink access signal meets the preset condition. Therefore, uplink resource use efficiency is effectively improved.
