    Abstract: Embodiments can provide an inter-cell handover method and a controller to shorten a handover delay. For achieving such, a target cell can be determined by a first controller of a source cell. The first controller can send a pre-handover request to a second controller, which may be a controller of the target cell. The pre-handover request can be configured for instructing the second controller to allocate a first resource for a cell handover to a terminal device. The first controller can send a handover command to the terminal device when the first controller determines that the terminal device meets a handover condition. The handover command can be configured for instructing the terminal device to be handed over from the source cell to the target cell based on the first resource.

    Abstract: The present patent application discloses a handover method, a base station, and a terminal device. The handover method includes: sending, by a source base station, a handover request to a target base station, where the handover request includes information about a first service of a terminal device; receiving, by the source base station, a handover response sent by the target base station, where if the first service is supported by the target base station, the handover response includes information about a handover instruction for the first service, and the handover instruction is used to instruct the terminal device to hand over the first service from the source base station to the target base station; and sending, by the source base station, a handover response to the terminal device.

    Abstract: A network entity is proposed for controlling the use, by a user equipment, of network slices of a communication network comprising a plurality of slice support areas. Each slice support area comprises at least one cell, and all cells of a given slice support area support the same network slices. A registration area for the registration of the user equipment with the communication network comprises at least one slice support area. The network entity is adapted to transmit, to the user equipment, slice support information for at least one slice support area of the communication network. The slice support information for a given slice support area indicates at least one network slice supported by the given slice support area and/or at least one network slice not supported by the given slice support area.
