    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communications apparatus. The communication method includes: receiving, by a core network device a message indicating a first data volume of first data transmitted between a second network device and a terminal device; determining, by the core network device, a total data volume of total data transmitted between a first network device and a core network comprising the core network device or total data transmitted between a second network device and the core network; and determining, by the core network device, a second data volume of second data transmitted between the first network device and the terminal device based on the first data volume and the total data volume, wherein the first data, the second data and the total data are data of a bearer, data of a flow, or data of a session.

    Abstract: This application provides a transmission method for retrieving old context of a terminal device, the method includes: a first network node sends a first message to a first system, where the first message is received from a terminal device and includes CRNTI allocated previously by the first network node for the terminal device; the first system sends a second message to the first network node, the second message comprises identification information of the terminal device which is in association with old context information of the terminal device that is stored at the first network node, and is used by the first network node to retrieve the old context information of the terminal device.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a multi-connectivity communication method and a device. An access network device of an LTE network sets up a second connection for UE and splits data of the UE through the second connection. The second connection is a connection set up between the UE and the access network device of the LTE network through an access network device of a next generation network. Therefore, dual connectivity between the UE and the LTE network and the next generation network is implemented, a data transmission rate of the UE is increased, and a throughput of the entire network can be increased.

    Abstract: A multi-connectivity communication method includes: a secondary base station receives a first RRC message generated by an RRC entity of an anchor base station and a second RRC message generated by an RRC entity of the secondary base station. The secondary base station sends the first RRC message and the second RRC message to the terminal via an air interface between the secondary base station and the terminal, where a PDCP header, an RLC header, or a newly added adaptation layer carries indication information, the indication information is used to indicate a target RRC entity that generates an RRC message, the target RRC entity is the RRC entity of the anchor base station or the RRC entity of the secondary base station, and the anchor base station and the secondary base station use different radio access technologies.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for non-access stratum (NAS) message processing during handover in an evolved network are provided. The method includes the following steps. An evolved packet core (EPC) receives a message which indicates that a UE is being handed over sent by a source evolved NodeB (S-eNB), and stops sending an NAS message to the UE temporarily. The EPC receives a message which indicates that the UE returns to an S-eNB service area sent by the S-eNB. The EPC sends the NAS message to the UE through the S-eNB, if needed. With the method and the apparatus, the EPC can acquire a location of the UE in time in the case of a handover failure of the UE, a time limit of a retransmission timer is set precisely, and a specific implementation for forwarding an NAS message through an X2 interface is provided.

    Abstract: The present application discloses a method and an apparatus. In the present application, a radio access network RAN server receives a measurement report from a terminal, determines a target inter-RAT cell of the terminal based on the measurement report, and configures a resource for the terminal in the target inter-RAT cell. The configured resource is a resource to be used by the terminal to access the target inter-RAT cell. The RAN server sends a handover command to the terminal. The handover command is used to instruct the terminal to hand over to the target inter-RAT cell, and the handover command carries an identifier of the target inter-RAT cell and information about the configured resource. In this way, when handover is performed between inter-RAT cells, handover can be implemented without across core networks, thereby reducing signaling exchange between a source core network and a target core network.

The method includes: receiving, by a wireless local area network WLAN access point AP, first indication information sent by a cellular network access device, where the first indication information is used to instruct the WLAN AP that user equipment UE served by the cellular network access device has uplink service data on which service offloading needs to be performed to the WLAN AP; and sending, by the WLAN AP, second indication information to the UE according to the first indication information, where the second indication information is used to instruct the UE to send the uplink service data to the WLAN AP.
