Abstract: A transfer valve includes a spool comprising a first circumferential flow channel at a first axial position of the spool and a second circumferential flow channel at a second axial position of the spool. The first circumferential flow channel and the second circumferential flow channel have different circumferential positions and are defined only partially circumferentially, and a sleeve disposed over the spool. The sleeve includes at least three flow windows defined through the sleeve at an axial position of the sleeve, each flow window having different circumferential positions on the sleeve. The spool is configured to translate within the sleeve between a first position and a second position. The first circumferential flow channel of the spool is configured to fluidly connect a first plurality of the at least three windows in the first position, and the second circumferential flow channel is configured to connect a second plurality of the at least three windows in the second position, wherein the first plurality of windows is different by at least one window from the second plurality of windows.

Abstract: A fuel pump system includes a main fuel pump between a system fuel inlet and a system fuel outlet, a fuel flow path at least partially defined between the main fuel pump and the system fuel outlet, and a support fuel pump between the system fuel inlet and the system fuel outlet. The support fuel pump is sized to provide more flow to the system fuel outlet, when in an active state, than the main fuel pump. The system includes a valve assembly in fluid communication with the support fuel pump configured and adapted to connect the support fuel pump to the system fuel outlet, and a pressure regulating valve in fluid communication with the fuel flow path between the main fuel pump and the system fuel outlet. The system includes an EHSV in fluid communication with the fuel flow path between the PRV and the system fuel outlet.

Abstract: A fluid injection system can include a main flow line, a primary flow line connected to the main flow line, and a primary flow valve disposed between the primary flow line and the main flow line and configured to allow injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in an open primary flow valve state, and to prevent injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in a closed primary flow valve state. The system can include a secondary flow line connected to the main flow line and a secondary flow valve disposed between the secondary flow line and the main flow line and configured to selectively allow injectant flow to the secondary flow line from the main flow line in an open secondary flow valve state, and to prevent injectant flow to the secondary flow line from the main flow line in a closed secondary flow valve state. The system can include a primary purge branch configured and a secondary purge branch configured to be in fluid communication with a purge gas line to receive a purge gas flow from the purge gas line.

Abstract: A pumping system includes a first variable displacement pump having a first inlet and a first outlet. The first outlet is fluidically connected to a system outlet. A first actuator is mechanically coupled to a first displacement mechanism of the first variable displacement pump A second variable displacement pump includes a second inlet and a second outlet. The second outlet is fluidically connected to the system outlet. The pumping system also includes a second actuator mechanically coupled to a second displacement mechanism of the second variable displacement pump. An electrohydraulic servo valve is hydraulically connected to the first and second actuators. An electronic engine controller is in communication with the electrohydraulic servo valve and is configured to send electrical current to the electrohydraulic servo valve to drive the first actuator and the second actuator.

Abstract: A method of controlling an actuator includes switching a primary solenoid valve to a first mode to fluidically connect a supply pressure source to a control chamber of a pilot valve. A fluid from the supply pressure source is directed through the primary solenoid valve to fill the control chamber of the pilot valve and put the pilot valve in a first position. The first position fluidically connects a second chamber of the actuator to a return pressure source. The actuator includes a cylinder between the first chamber and the second chamber and a rod attached to the cylinder. The fluid from the supply pressure source is directed into the first chamber of the actuator to move the cylinder and the rod in a first direction while the pilot valve is in the first position.
