Abstract:
A filter device for filtering hydraulic fluid includes first and second subelements 40, 42 within a filter housing having separate inflows 20, 24 thereto for the respective subelements and a common outflow 22. The first subelement has a higher filter fineness than the second subelement. Several bypass configurations are taught and include: (i) a bypass line 28 for bypassing the second subelement by drawing fluid directly from the supply 95; (ii) a bypass valve 116 (FIG. 3) for bypassing the first subelement; and (iii) a bypass valve 151 (FIG. 5) for connecting the first subelement inflow 20 with the common outflow 22. The device is compact, has an easy-to-service arrangement, and ensures protection of a hydraulic pump and highly stressed hydraulic components.
Abstract:
A radial shaft-sealing ring with a sealing (1) ring made of a polymer with sealing properties, rubber for example. The sealing ring has at least one lip (2) that rests on the shaft (4) against a backing ring (3) at the side not subject to pressure. The lip is permanently fastened to a reinforcing ring (5). The cross-section of the reinforcing ring in accordance with the invention is L shaped with at least one wall that extends radially inward and rests against and partly covers the backing ring.
Abstract:
To simplify the venting of a hydraulic circuit comprising a supply of hydraulic fluid, which is made available to a hydraulic consuming device via a pump, and a return filter comprising a filter housing and a filter element for filtering the hydraulic fluid returning from the consuming device in a return line, it is suggested that the return line comprise prior to entering the return filter a first pressure-maintaining valve which allows the return of the hydraulic fluid to the return filter only when a predetermined first pressure value is exceeded, that the return line be connected upstream in relation to the first pressure-maintaining valve to a venting device leading to the atmosphere and to a bypass line which contains a second pressure-maintaining valve and opens into the supply, wherein the second pressure-maintaining valve opens only when a predetermined second pressure value is exceeded and allows the return of the hydraulic fluid past the return filter to the hydraulic fluid supply, wherein the second pressure value is greater than the first pressure value, and that the venting device allows gas to flow out into the atmosphere but prevents the exit of hydraulic fluid.
Abstract:
A liquid-liquid extraction process is disclosed, in which an aqueous solution, containing metal ions, is contacted with an organic liquid substantially insoluble in water. The organic liquid contains two water-insoluble reagents, viz. a diester of dithiophosphoric acid and an organic phosphate, in a preferred volume ratio of between 1:10 and 2:1. The organic liquid may also contain a diluent for the reagents.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the re-extraction of a metal from an organic extraction solution in which the metal is present as a metal chloride complex bonded to an extractant. The organic extraction solution is contacted with an aqueous solution, to transfer metal ions and chloride ions to the aqueous solution. Sulphuric acid is added to the aqueous solution, which is subsequently heated to drive off hydrogen chloride and water. Metal sulphate is removed from the acidified aqueous solution.
