摘要: A method of making copper (I) 5-nitrotetrazolate (DBX-1) in isolated form comprising: a) reacting bis(ethylenediamine) copper (II) nitrotetrazolate with nitric acid or sulfuric acid to form a reaction product, subsequently b) reducing the reaction product of a) with ascorbate or ascorbic acid and reacting with copper chloride or copper sulfate to form copper (I) 5-nitrotetrazolate, and subsequently isolating the copper (I) 5-nitrotetrazolate (DBX-1) as a precipitate. The copper (I) 5-nitrotetrazolate produced by said method is useful as a primary explosive.

is provided where M is Mn, Cu, Co, Fe, Zn, Cd, Ni, or Pt; R is a bromine, nitro, a primary amine, C1-C4 alkyl secondary amine, C1-C4 alkyl oxy, Br—(C1-C4 alkyl), NO2—(C1-C4 alkyl), a mercaptan, and reaction products of any of the aforementioned with acyl chlorides of the formulas: CH3(CH2)mC(O)Cl, or CH3(CH(C1-C4 alkyl)CH2)mC(O)Cl, or CH3(CH2)m-Ph-(CH2)pC(O)Cl, where Ph is a C6 phenyl or C6 phenyl with one or more hydrogens replaced with F, C1-C4 fluoroalkyl, or C1-C4 perfluoroalkyl; m is independently in each occurrence an integer of 0 to 12 inclusive; p is an integer of 0 to 36 inclusive, to form an amide, a thioamide, or an ester; Ar is a 1,3,5-modified phenyl, and 1.4>x>0. A process of synthesis thereof and the use to chemically modify a gaseous reactant are also provided.-

Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to a system for capturing alkenes that includes: metal-organic frameworks, where the metal-organic frameworks include one or more metals and one or more ligands coordinated with the one or more metals, and where the metal-organic frameworks are conductive; and an alkene feed source associated with the metal-organic frameworks, where the alkene feed source is configured to deliver an alkene feed to the system.

摘要: Described herein are two-coordinated d10 metal carbene complexes containing (i) Cu(I), Ag(I), or Au(I), (ii) a pyrazine-fused NHC ligand or a pyridine-fused NHC ligand, and (iii) a carbazole ligand, a pyrido[2,3-b]indole ligand, or a pyrido[3,4-b]indole ligand. The radiative properties of the compounds can be controlled by thermally activated delayed fluorescence. The emission colors of the complexes can be tuned by using carbazoles with varying donor strength. Also described are methods of using the complexes.
