    摘要: A method for manufacturing a sensor element for a gas sensor for determining a physical property of a test gas, particularly its temperature or the concentration of a gas component in a gas mixture, is provided, the sensor element having a hollow, finger-shaped solid electrolyte body, a measuring electrode resting outside on the solid electrolyte body, a reference electrode resting inside on the solid electrolyte body as well as circuit traces leading from the electrodes to contact areas. For a simplified manufacture of the finger shape of the sensor element with its mechanical advantages as compared to a planar sensor element, a planar carrier made of a deep-drawable ceramic material is printed on each of its carrier surfaces facing away from each other with a layer made of electrically conductive material in a defined geometric shape, and the printed carrier is deep-drawn into the finger shape.

    摘要: A planar polarographic sensor for determining the lambda value of gas mixtures, for use with exhaust gases in internal combustion engines, includes a planar ceramic carrier sheet having an outer pumping electrode and an inner pumping electrode respectively arranged on opposite planar sides thereof, and a diffusion barrier. The outer and inner pumping electrodes, and the diffusion barrier are arranged on the planar ceramic carrier sheet so that the measuring gas is fed via the diffusion barrier to the inner pumping electrode. The sensor has front and side edge faces. The diffusion barrier is configured as a diffusion layer at least partially covering the inner pumping electrode and exposed at least at one edge face of the sensor to the measuring gas. A diffusion-free planar region of the sensor is provided with an equalizing layer having the same thickness as the diffusion layer, and the equalizing layer is disposed in the same plane with and adjacent to the diffusion layer.

    摘要: An unheated planar sensor element for determining the concentration of a gas component in a gas mixture, in particular the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, has a sensor foil made of a solid electrolyte with an outer electrode exposed to the measuring gas, and an inner electrode exposed to a reference gas, as well as a reference-gas channel, which is covered by the sensor foil on one side and accommodates the inner electrode. To produce a small-volume, cost-effective unheated sensor element for use in small combustion engines having low power output yet sufficiently satisfactory measuring accuracy, the reference-gas channel is sealed on the underside by an additional sensor foil made of a solid electrolyte, and covered by an inner electrode lying inside the reference-gas channel and an outer electrode exposed to the measuring gas.
