The invention concerns a ski brake consisting of a two-part wire bail of which the individual bail pieces are bent or angled off several times, comprising also two wire brake-arms, said ski brake pivoting against the force of at least one erecting spring from a braking position into a ready position wherein the free ends of the two wire brake-arms are pivoted toward the longitudinal ski axis, i.e. are retracted above the top side of the ski or pivoted-in.
