Abstract:
In one example of the disclosure, subscription data is received from a computer via a web application. The subscription data is indicative of a subscription for a printer that is, or is to be, connected to a supply of marking agent. The subscription authorizes the printer to consume a subscription amount of marking agent. A browser plug-in is sent to the computer, via the web application, to enable the computer to discover the printer via a wireless connection. Identification data obtained via the browser plug-in is received from the computer printer. The identification data is utilized to establish an operative connection with the printer. A credit is sent to the printer, via the operative connection, to authorize consumption of at least a portion of the subscription amount from the supply.
Abstract:
A system and method for registering a user with a subscription service for a printer is described. A network-enabled printer can determine when a mobile computing device is brought into a sufficient proximity of the network-enabled printer. The network-enabled printer can receive account information for a user of the mobile computing device when the mobile computing device is brought into the sufficient proximity and transmit the account information to a remote provider in order to register the network-enabled printer and the user with the subscription service.
Abstract:
A technique performed by a printer includes receiving identification information from a computing device. The identification information may be sent to a server, such as a content management server. The identification information can be used for payment. Payment confirmation, authorization to provide content, or content itself may be received from the server.
Abstract:
In one example, a printer address for a network-connected printer, a printer location, and an identifier for a mobile computing device are received. Responsive to receiving a message that is sent to the printer address and that includes a print job, the print job is stored. The identifier is sent to a tracker computing device. A mobile device location is received from the tracker device. Responsive to determining a calculated distance between the mobile device and the printer is less than or equal to a trigger distance, the print job is sent to the printer.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an email communication is received via a network. The email communication includes a content identifier identifying for-pay content hosted at a provider computing system, a sender identifier identifying a sender of the communication, and a printer identifier identifying a network-connected printer. The sender identifier is compared to a database that associates sender identifiers with payment subscriptions authorizing printing of the content. Responsive to receipt of data indicating the sender identifier is associated with a payment subscription, the content is obtained from the provider system, rasterized, and sent to the printer for printing.
Abstract:
A system and method for recommending and installing scheduled delivery (SD) print applications is disclosed. In one example, one or more SD print applications are determined based on prior usage of SD print applications in a printer application store by a user of a web connected computing device. Further, the determined one or more SD print applications are recommended by sending a notification to the web connected computing device and then to a web connected printer via an electronic messaging service.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a system, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and method for printing. A plurality of unique identifiers can be generated for a printing device, each of the plurality of email addresses being associated with a unique printing configuration to handle print requests. A print request can be received from a print request source, where the print request is addressed to a specified unique identifier. The received print request can be handled in accordance with the unique printing configuration associated with the specified unique identifier.

Abstract:
Examples disclosed herein relate to generating a print format version with an overlaid machine-readable link. As an example, a set of machine-readable links assigned to a user account from a remote repository is obtained. In response to a print command associated with the user account, one machine-readable link from amongst the set of the machine-readable links is selected and applied onto a portion of the digital document. Thereafter, a print format version of the digital document along with the machine-readable link is generated.
