The hologram generating device includes an object light generation means, a reference light generation means, an irradiation means, a polarization light selecting reflection means, and a polarization conversion means, wherein the one of the object light and the reference light incident from the rear surface is made to interfere with the other of the object light and reference light incident from the front surface in the hologram recording layer to record a reflection type hologram on the hologram recording layer.

    摘要: Optical information is stored in an optical information recording medium having an information recording layer utilizing holography with an optical information recording apparatus which includes security features. An input device is used to input individual information which is unique to an individual. An information light carries information to be recorded on the optical information recording medium. A phase modulation pattern is generated based on the individual information. A recording reference light is generated including a phase modulator for spatially modulating a phase of the reference light, for generating reference light for recording having a phase spatially modulated based on the phase modulation pattern information. A recording optical system illuminates the information recording layer on the same side with both the information light and the reference light.

In an optical information recording apparatus using holography, having: a light source 32, an information expressing device 63 for generating information light by adding information to light from the light source; a reference light generator 65 for generating reference light from the light from the light source; and an objective lens 70 for irradiating the information light and the reference light onto an optical information recording medium 1, the apparatus comprises a fixed unit 73 including at least the information expressing device 63 and a moving unit 75 including at least the objective lens 70, which moves for making access to a prescribed recording position of the optical information recording medium 1.

    摘要: It is an object of the invention to allow the use of a practical light source to record information in each information recording area of a recording medium having a plurality of information recording areas through the use of holography while moving the recording medium.When recording information in the information recording areas (7) of the recording medium, the irradiating position (101) of information light and recording-specific reference light is moved such that the irradiating position (101) follows a single moving information recording area (7) for a predetermined period. Consequently, the single information recording area (7) keeps being irradiated with the information light and the recording-specific reference light for the predetermined period. Information is thus recorded in this information recording area (7) in the form of an interference pattern as a result of interference between the information light and the recording-specific reference light.

    摘要: The present invention makes it possible to reduce the size of an optical system for multiplex recording or reproduction of information utilizing holography.A pick-up (11) of an optical information recording/reproducing apparatus generates information light by spatially modulating laser light emitted by a light source device (25) with a spatial light modulator (18) depending on the information to be recorded and generates reference light for recording having a spatially modulated phase by spatially modulating the phase of laser beam emitted by the light source device (25) with a phase-spatial light modulator (17). The information light and the reference light for recording are projected upon an optical information recording medium (1) such that they converge in different positions, and information is recorded in the hologram layer (3) in the form of an interference pattern as a result of interference between the information light reflected by a reflecting film (5) and the reference light for recording. The positioning of the information light and the reference light for recording is carried out based on information recorded in address servo areas (6).

    摘要: The present invention makes it possible to acquire image information required for displaying a three-dimensional image of an object in a space with a simple configuration and to achieve display of a stereoscopic dynamic image in a true sense with a simple configuration. Light from an object (10) impinges upon a deflecting plate (11). Among the incident beams of light, the deflecting plate (11) allows beams of light at a predetermined angle to the plane of the deflecting plate (11) to pass, the beams exiting as parallel beams of light perpendicular to the plane of the deflecting plate (11). The light passes through a converging lens (12), a pinhole member (13), and a converging lens (14) to impinge upon a CCD (15). An angle of incident light selected by the deflecting plate (11) is sequentially changed as time passes. Therefore, image information output by the CCD (15) becomes plural pieces of two-dimensional image information for which the photographing direction changes as time passes and which serve as image information required for displaying a three-dimensional image of the object in a space.
