    摘要: Cloth is successively conveyed by a supply roller and a take up roller over a platen which opposes an ink jet head selectively jetting ink. The platen has an opening formed at a surface opposing to the ink jet head, and an air suction opening behind the opening of the platen is connected to an air suction unit through an air path. At the time of dyeing, fluff on the surface of the cloth opposing to the ink jet head is sucked and laid down on the surface of the cloth by air suction by the air suction unit, and ink is appropriately jetted to the surface of the cloth from the ink jet head. Therefore, ink jet is not hindered by the fluff on the surface of the cloth at the time of dyeing. Therefore, ink drops can reach the desired position on the surface of the cloth, and satisfactory dyeing without any distortion in patterns is performed.

    摘要: In a non-printing state, a cap is moved toward an ink jet nozzle of a head, for sealing the same. Immediately before the cap comes into contact with the jet nozzle, a gear is rotated by a motor to drive a piston, for sucking air from the interior of the cap by a suction pump consisting of the piston and a cylinder. This sucking operation is continued until the cap comes into close contact with the jet nozzle, for sucking the ink from the head.

This configuration allows the entire system to stably execute a printing operation without being affected by the acceleration force applied to the printing head when driving the printing head at an extremely fast speed, which adversely affects the supply of ink to these orifices.

    摘要: An ink jet system printer includes a capping mechanism for covering a printer head when a carriage is located at a stand-by position. The capping mechanism includes a cap member supported by a slidable plate. The slidable plate is shifted toward the printer head as the printer head moves to the stand-by position through the use of links, whereby the cap member covers the nozzle portion included in the printer head. That is, the slidable plate is shifted by the travelling force of the carriage and, therefore, a separate drive source is not required for the slidable plate.

    摘要: Various ink heads with holes different in diameter can be attached to a carriage of an inkjet printing apparatus. A CPU detects the type of an ink head attached, by states of signals on signal lines. The CPU executes a printing operation in a resolution corresponding to an amount of ink discharge based on a result of detection. When one of various ink heads having a plurality of holes and having the same pitch between the holes as that of one another ink head is attached, the printing operation is carried out such that the amount of ink discharge is substantially the same for the respective ink heads, in particular, that a relation of recording paper feed amount X=(C/(P1/P−1)×P1+P2 is satisfied, further in particularly, C/(P1/P2)=a positive number. Ink heads provided with a plurality of holes arranged with the same interval may also be attached. Thus, various ink heads can be attached to the carriage to provide a plurality of resolutions and high quality prints.
