Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a method for waking up a terminal device in a communication network, an apparatus, and a readable storage medium. The method includes: after a terminal device enters an idle state or an inactive state, when the terminal device detects that a doze condition is met, the terminal device enters a doze state from the idle state or the inactive state. During a first time period after the terminal device enters the doze state, if the terminal device does not receive wake-up information or detects that signal quality of the wake-up information is less than or equal to a first threshold, the terminal device enters a wake-up state from the doze state.
